Hiya,

So, my friend has been playing on a free account for 32 days now, and I bought her the expansion earlier tonight. For some reason she is unable to send any mail with items attached, which I would have assumed you could do after buying the expansion at the very least.

I looked and looked online, but all the posts I found were from like 2 years ago. Does anyone know why she can’t send any mail?

I believe that, for security reasons (and a few others), it takes a few days for full functionality to be granted. Some other things may be locked out as well until then.

The restrictions are because of people, such as goldsellers, who use bank and credit card fraud to steal accounts. They’ll fraudulently buy accounts with stolen credit, use the accounts for botting or gold selling then reverse the charges to get money back.

Not a paid for account. It was a f2p account before. Remember, it’s about stopping people from buying using stolen credit and then reversing charges.

Edit: also remember that f2p accounts can’t send email attachments (for gold selling/botting reasons) so the timer allowing her to send attachments started with the purchase.

That info isn’t really complete. Free accounts can’t send attachments at all, no matter how old. Upgrading a free account to paid functions the same as making a new paid account, as far as item sending restrictions are concerned. Your friend will be able to send items after 7 days.

They should really make it clear in their information. The fact that I had to come to the forums to find this information, is clearly ridiculous.
