I’m currently downloading the game and would like to get some advice on which server to join. I’m looking for a hi pop server where there is a solid population online at most times. I live in the USA on the west coast. Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

Lot’s of people on the forums say that Tarnished Coast has a healthy population.

One way to check out the servers is to make a disposable character and then guest to different servers till you find the one you like, then delete that character and just pick a new server. Sometimes WvW rank is a good way to tell which servers are busy (especially if you are going to play that part of the game).

PS: Don’t judge a servers population on starting zones. These zones are often populated by everyone from level 1 to 80 looking for easy content to complete, and other zones on the same server could be empty or lacking in populace.

Tarnished Coast is probably the most highly populated PVe server and does pretty well, most of the time, in WvW as well.

Stormbluff Isle is a fairly populated T4 server with a nice community, check us out

Tarnished Coast is the US Roleplaying server, so if you’re inta that I’d point you there; you’ll almost always find someone to rp with (if you bother to look) and the community is very helpful. If not, there are other very nice servers that I know nothing about. Wherever you go, have fun!

Even if you’re not into RP I’d join Tarnished Coast. I’m not on it anymore, but it is a great server with great people. I’m on Maguuma at the moment and there’s also some great people here too. We’re also pretty good in WvW.
