I’ve been trying to transfer off my current server to my friends’ without success. I’ve tried between midnight and 5 AM, the whole day after 10 AM and no dice, the server is still at Full at all time. I don’t even feel like playing the game when I log in. Most of the time I check the server status, check if the server I want to go to is full, it’s always full and then I go do something else.

It’s getting annoying as kitten.

They got the game later than me. I was in a guild and it fell apart, now I want to join them on their server to play with them, since my previous guild is a ghost-town.

Well, why didn’t they join the server you are on?

Because they’re kittens.

I’ve always been under the impression that it was based on the current server population, not the number of people with it registered as their home server. This is why you can get in at non-peak times.

The problem is that the top tiers of wvw servers are attracting a 24/7 population so getting on them at any time can be very difficult.

Best advice I can give is to keep trying or get your whole group of friends to hop to a different server.

If servers are full truly based on how many accounts are registered to the server, then I would like to know if all these bot accounts that are being banned are still considered registered to that particular server. If this is the case, then I am willing to bet if they removed these accounts completely from the server database a lot of servers would not be as full as they are. I think it is worth investigating myself.

No, it’s all based on how many players are logged on the server currently. If a server drops in pop to high, then you can go there regardless of how many accounts are on it.
