This person sent me a message with weird bold text in it that I have never seen in the game before talking about a cash coupon and 15% discount. Is this gold selling? Shall I report it?

Yes you should. Any type of gold/item selling through any form of chat, LFG or mail is against EULA. How effective your report will be is another story, but at least you have done your duty as honest gw2 player.

Step one: Block the sender (if it’s a whisper). They often will spam you with the message multiple times.

Step two: Report the sender by right clicking their name, clicking Report, and select gold selling as the reason. Submit the report.

Step three: Carry on having fun in the game, happy in the knowledge you’ve helped reduce the spam for everyone (if only a bit), and that you have avoided a site that would love to steal your account and get you banned from playing.

The game will even thank you for your report.
