What I think you meant was, “Wow, what a great idea for those who have been asking for this since the shared slots released, especially those who just have the free one for HoT owners. Could you also make it optional for those of us who prefer everything to be smooshed together, to take up less of our precious screen real estate?”

Myself, I’m going to try it out for at least a few days before I decide if this is a good thing or an annoyance. On the plus side, it will be easier to arrange each character’s inventory so that foods are all in the same place (as I prefer). On the minus, it’s a lot of extra screen real estate that I’d like to save.

Heya following the update my Shared Inventory Slots is on a different row that the other slot now. is it normal?

I preferred when the shared inventory slots was together with the other slots.

Now it is like this :

ANet needs to get their stuff together and actually add toggles. The show/hide bags toggle exists for a reason.

So… anet, instead of thinking of something -optional- and make both sides happy, you just turn the problem upside down, kitten off the other end, people like me who are now pressing another kitten ed item because I was used to my salvager being there, and call it fixed? Bad call anet.

When I press to disable show bags, I do it because I don’t want anything separated inventory wise, now you -force- separate my shared slots, come on, you have a cogwheel where you gave us various options, what is this kitten?

Options are good, Anet. I mean, it’s our inventory and we are the ones that are forced to look at it regularly… why can’t we arrange it the way we want to?

I really love the new shared line, I was hoping Anet would add that. (Thank you!) But I’m not a fan of the mandatory scrollbar thing now. I was hoping I could have one solid block of inventory once more with the shared slots being shown as being different from it.

I think centering those slots would help, or possibly to add a left/center/right alignment option for it.

If there is one category of complaint that consistently puzzles me it is the inventory stuff. I just don’t get why so many folks care so passionately about their bag layout. Surely it is a minor irritation at worst. I just have one “fixed” bag with the keys and consumables in and then treat the rest like a big bucket. I salvage, sell and deposit stuff then hit “compact” to make it neat. It just does not seem that important. <scratches head>

They’ve moved upwards with the two slots, and left the portal stone where I normally pressed for my salvager, I don’t calmly salvage, often I partake in an event, press I then immediately double click the salvager where I expect it to be so I can quickly clean some inventory space for the event I’m in.

Another grievance is that this goes against my standard inventory view and the function to show or hide bags, I hide bags because I don’t want to see them, I want one block of inventory wherein everything is.

I have 9 empty slots between shared and normal, thusly it is a freaking horrible change.
Only 90% of slots are visible, with the remaining 10% requiring a charr with a monocle to see!

SUGGESTION:
*Add a menu with player options for shared slots:
—(1)Move line to bottom
--(2)Move shared to seperate tab
—(3)Keep Shared slots on top w/ empty trailing slots
--(4)Keep Shared slots on top without space between them and bag slots

That’s reason why I hadn’t bought them for very long time until I found out they merge normally so I have bought 3 + 1 HoT. I really don’t like how my inventory looks now it hurts to look at. If merging Shared inventory slots with other bags to same line won’t come back will there be any way to have them all completely removed?

Preferring the compact “hide bags” option I find this new space wasting layout very annoying.
Hate at first sight!
Please implement options so everyone can be happy (again).

As a further explanation: I often salvage items while running to the next fight with a commander in wvw. Therefore my inventory window is positioned at the side and relatively small, so I can still see whats going on in front of me. And now there is space wasted at the top of this already small window… grrr.

Ya, I didn’t complain when I got it, but I was a little annoyed having to adjust my inventory. However, I am annoyed on another level having to do it all again on all my characters… In fact, I still can’t bring myself to play, because I’d rather do other things than adjust my inventory. I think this should teach devs that a lot of players who get really into this type of game often have mild ocd, and we have to make things just right. Changing our inventory every few months is killing my mood. (in game) In fact, with this change, I went and spent 140$ on another game, like a fool. I’d really like an option. I personally prefered the old set-up, but an option would be ideal because we have people on both sides of the fence. However, I doubt I will go through the trouble of fixing all my characters inventories again. I literally have to move everything in my invisible slot, one space over, how annoying… I get paid to do things that tedious, gw2 has always been simple, lets keep it that way.
