Like an “hide character animation effect”, with a list of all the animation from skill, utilities etc. to enable/disable?

…and without aegis….I can enjoy runing with my shield.

Are you saying you don’t want to have Aegis on you, and have to get hit every time?

I don’t get it….you don’t want Guardians to work right just because of a skill animation?

Well just roll a revenant or warrior bam no aegis.

Some ppl hate it, but I love it. I think Aegis makes 90% of shields look better in this game. And it certainly makes guardian stand out from warriors and revenants.

The only thing that ruins your look is the Christmas tree you wear.

You miss the point. They can change aegis effect or just make it toggleable.

And where would that end? Would Anet then be expected to add a toggle for every single skill in the game?

They could have an icon over the player’s head with a similarly-styled shield, or maybe something like Resistance?

At some point, you have to accept that you aren’t going to like everything in a game. The Ageis animation is there to specifically to show that a character is under its status effect, something that is arguably necessary for certain combat situations. Its probably that few people are bothered by its appearance and as such is unlikely to be a priority for Anet.
