Ship in a bottle
in my day they didnt have television….
all right, moment of lameness, I admit.
…now i want ship in a bottle decorations for my guildhall
Remember, remember, 15th of November
When I was a kid, I used to watch these movies or television shows where the Dad spends his free time puffing on a pipe, and building a ship in a bottle in his study. I used to think, “That’s so stupid, why would he waste his time doing something like that?”
Now that I’m a working professional, and a father and husband myself, I totally understand what that ship in a bottle is all about. Sometimes I think that GW2 is my ship in a bottle.
Anybody else feel the same way?
Nope, because you turn off the PC you have nothing to show for your time in GW2. Where as you build a ship in a bottle you always have it to show off and be proud of.
That’s just virtual vs physical rewards. My entire job revolves around things that would go away once the computers are turned off. I still work hard and i still need to get paid.
well thankfully it is in game also, a ship in a bottle

Never built a ship in a bottle, but woodworking scratches a similar itch for me. A bit old-timey, but tons of fun and a neat/useful product at the end. Games are more of a brainless release after work.
