ShortBow/StormBow
There is no reason for there to be a short bow version because the Storm Bow has always been a Long Bow. Look at its type on the Guild Wars 1 wiki. If you want a sweet bow from GW1 for your short bow, look at the short bow skins.

That is not correct, Storm Bows were not always Longbows.
You could get Storm bows in all types, except Shortbow, that I knew about or could find, anyway.
They were was always listed as Longbow in the tooltip, but that was a typo as I had several that had different range requirements, arcs and attack speeds, easily identifiable as flatbow or recurve. So there were indeed have different types of Storm Bow.
The precedent is also there for two bows having the same skin in GW2, Azureflame and Aether have the same skin and virtually an identical model.
Therefore no reason to not also make it a Shortbow.

Storm Bow was a longbow. The only talk of it otherwise that I could find was on the talkpage of the wiki and it didn’t go anywhere and didn’t offer anything conclusive. Not that it really matters as this thread is more about someone wanting a skin ported over to a different weapon for a shiny.
I don’t see the value in asking for it to be available as a shortbow skin. It was a longbow, it returned as a longbow. They still make sepperate longbow and shortbow skins. Having sepperate skins was a design choice, not something they did absant mindedly.

Ok, I’ll rephrase that. The Storm bow in GW1 was called a Longbow in the tooltip but had variable Ranges, arcs and attack speeds that were errily similar to recurve bows and flatbows along with Longbows.
It does matter though, there really is no reason why the new Stormbow skin cannot also be a Shortbow skin as well, only opinions.
The value is being able to sell the skin to people who use Shortbows and like the skin, the same value as making the skin in the 1st place. These two bows have the same appearance, despite being Long and Short. [&AgFieQAA] [&AgFfeQAA]. Probably just absent minded design choice.
I agree to this, should have been added also as Shortbow Version …
Storm Bow was useable in GW1 for multiple Bow Types, so should it be also for GW2 as well and GW2 has only 2 Bow Types, wouldnt surely have been asked too much…
all they need to do for the Shortbow is eithr basically copy/paste the skin onto Shortbow = No work at all if the same skin can simply be used on both weapons.
Or the make for the shortbow an own different looking version, which naturally means more work. For a quick fix I prefer solution 1 over 2, maybe just resized only a bit to make it a bit smaller looking, but thats all thats needed.

Its not that there isn’t room for a storm shortbow, they chose to make it only longbow. why would they add it in now? they forgot shortbow exists?
If you have your storm bows in gw1 still can you let me play with them so I can update gw1 wiki storm bow page please? I only had 1 and it checked out like a longbow.
