I am mostly rare farming after finishing with the achievements for the month and I was wondering whether I should or not buy these kits. Reason I ask is because I got one from the daily and I used them all on my rares and got 38 ectos and around 60sd worth in sigils and I was amazed at the amount.

Most people have been telling me to only get them from the daily and just use Master’s or Mystic’s, but I wanted to ask here see if I get the same answers.

Buy master.

Never buy BL kits. they are not worth the money considering the cheap alternatives.

I save up my Black Lion kits that I get from story rewards and use them for 100% recovery chance of ultra rare runes/sigils.

Other than that, I just use Master kits for the savings.

If you read up on the wiki, you can see the numbers people came up with after testing to see the difference in materials received from BL kits, mystic kits, and master’s kits. You don’t get enough return for the amount you spend on BL kits or mystic kits.

It is only more profitable to use black lion kits if the item you are salvaging is socketed with something worth about 1.3g or more. or you get them for free. but even the free ones I save until I need to salvage an exotic with divinity rune.
