I was wondering if we should KEEP the mordrem blooms in case they bring it back in the future as another form of currency, or should we just spend it?

means that there is a chance that it could be run again with a different design.

I’d say keep the blooms.

Why would you keep it if you can spend it now?

Because I don’t have enough to buy shoulders/gloves, but I would have a bit more if they decide to reuse it as a different currency :P

I asked the head of the GW2 Design Team about whether we would be making changes and rerunning it, extending it, or repeating it as it currently is designed. At this time, we are not going to extend the event, nor do we have plans at this time to repeat it.

no changes will be made to the event beyond the fixes that were made on Thursday. As promised we will distribute earned rewards for those who were impacted by that bug within the next several days. The bug ran from 9:00 AM until about 4:00 PM Pacific time. If you earned blooms during that period but did not receive them or received fewer than the intended amount, they will be sent to you via in-game mail. NPCs will remain in place — particularly in the Priory — so that you can exchange your blooms.

Right, this event is dead and buried. I have the same question too if I read the OP right. Will the currency be reused for another event? Since I do not have enough to get anything worthwhile should I just chuck my blooms or litter my bank with them?

If they have stated clearly that they have no plans, I’d chuck ’em. Why waste precious inventory space?

Gaile posted yesterday that she’d ask the devs today about future bloom use and sources. I’m sure once they have time to answer her she’ll let us know.

My pending question is how long the vendor will remain, ie when will I have to make a decision on buy/no buy of items. People in Map Chat were saying a couple of months but I have seen nothing official on that unless I glossed over a line in a Gaile post. All I’ve seen is that the vendors would remain after the event, without a confirmed duration.

If there’s ANY possibility of blooms being reworked into another set of rewards, I’m not using them to buy sand. Grinding for this was painful. Thanks for the answer and I will be banking my blooms.

I would personally keep extras. I had spare blue and green parts for the Tri Color Key. now many months later I got to finish them. The same could happen for this.

I’d bank them until Gaile replies later about the future token situation. She said she’d ask about it.

Personally I would spend them.

I had 40 blooms left over after buying 3 of the skins.

I figured that if they brought the event back (with the rewards/vendor), they’d probably make the blooms easier to obtain anyway due to the huge amount of protest there was about the reward rate… so it wouldn’t take much to earn back the excess blooms I spent or the other skin I was after.
