Im trying to create a very futuristic look for my characters and i need some ideas.

I kinda went steampunkish/futuristic look on my asuran mesmer, one of the only ways i see the back piece fit, because i normally hate the look on those spinal blades.

Here’s mine. Heavy Aether, bits of Norn cultural, and the Mecha anchor. Some of the rifles work well as well. Depends on what you’re really after though.

I went for a steampunk look on two of my characters. I’m not sure if steampunk would classify as sci-fi though.

I like it with the APC. That came out great.

Thanks The Whisper’s coat looks better on male sylvari, humans, and norns because their collars are slightly higher and necks aren’t nearly as slender/long, but the Auxiliary coat definitely has the best result.

edit: I can also show you my engineer. The only problem being that the kit backpacks don’t look very good with this armor.

I tried to create something Hazmat-ish for my necro. Mostly mix and match cultural with the gas mask and injector backpack.

I’ve actually got a couple looks that fall into this category. They’re all on GW2 Style so you can make them yourselves if you are interested in the looks. Shameless plug I know Both of the Asura are themed within GW2’s “magitech” scheme.

My Guardian is actually one I have not seen a similar look for before I posted. He’s themed in a “post apocalyptic” scheme. The idea was to mix worn and old looking armor pieces with newer and more futuristic looking pieces to create the effect that these pieces were found or upgraded over time.

As you can probably see, Asura Cultural + Gemstore skins are pretty much common for sci-fi themes, hope you got a big wallet!

Your human Guardian is my favourite in this thread. Reminds me of Dune. You just need a Sandworm!

Made a desert steam punk charr awhile back.
And my Engi’s look, which was much cheaper to make at the time.

Thief and Mesmer.

Lots of bits and pieces went into the Thief’s look, modelled her after Dante from ‘Devil May Cry’.

Nothing special on the Mesmer, just Crystal Nomad outfit and Peacemaker weapons. Sort of a futuristic planeswalker type character.
