Sickle, axe and pick for the entire account
Agree. I would buy them even if they rise the price again, right now, I don’t buy them because I don’t want to switch tool, my char aren’t alwas near a bank.
I also pay more for them by account, that’s the only useful way.
While I agree that the idea of them being usable for the entire account without having to swap them does sound intriguing, there’s one issue that’s being overlooked… alts at lower levels than can use the gathering equipment. If I roll a fresh, shiny alt and my “account tools” require level 80, then what? You have to remember, not everyone has bought the infinite tools so there will definitely be level restrictions coming into play.
gem shop tools have no level requirement volkon, so it’s plausible
i hope they don’t nerf them, as i think this aspect might have been overlooked :P

I know, I’m talking about the people that don’t buy picks from the gem shop though. They do exist after all and you need to take that into account. If I haven’t bought any and I’m using the level 80 picks on my main what would happen with the low level alts?

i now see your point, maybe i’ve rushed in reading your last post.
I think they should remove those picks from the game.
Currently playing Heart of Thorns.
Yes, it would be nice to have such option. That’s why i never bought any and can’t be bothered with buying them separately for each of my toons.
They could add a restriction to the level of those who use the tools, however I do not think a low level character can be in orr collecting.

I currently have a level 8 in Cursed Shore. Lol
And all who stood by and did nothing, who are they to criticize the sacrifices of others?
Our blood has bought their lives.
If they were to add this then a gem refund should be made available to all accounts that have purchased a set for all their characters so that they do not have to transfer the tools back and forth.
The solution has already been mentioned months back – an account bound bag type, where anything placed in it will be shared among all characters on the account. At the moment. Unequipping a tool before logging out isn’t half as troublesome as unequipping, moving it to the bank, then logging another char in, moving to a bank…
In the past, there was a Mining Pick from a certain Karma vendor that could mine Ori. It had no level requirement, and people ferried multiple alts to a permanent Rich Ori node in Southsun (before they parked a champ on it), so they had a basically ‘free’ pick that could easily make Ori all day, erry day.

Great solution. The issue is that it’s inconvenient to always have to go to a bank to drop off/pick up. An account-wide inventory bag would be awesome! Even if it’s a gem shop item, I would get one. Would have to be worth it though, like 20 slots.
As it is now, I always, always park my characters at Trader’s Forum in LA before logging out or switching characters. At least this way I’m always near the bank when I start out so it does cut down on the hastle of having to pick up/drop off.
