LIS = Legendary Imbued Shaman

From the volcanic fractals of course.

Not sure if this is a bug or where to post this thread but for now this will do.

Anyways I think I have found a combat mechanic failure against the LIS in regards to warrior’s signet of might.

First the active ability from signet of might states “Your attacks are unblockable”

Next is being familiar with one of LIS’s abilities, Shield Bubble. When this ability is activated he blocks all attacks.

So I was doing fractals the other day and tried signet of might on him, and it worked properly allowing me get pass his shield and “damage him”

I say that in quotation because even though my attacks got through his shield I only did ZERO damage to it.

Why is this a problem?
Well sometime after I went to sparkfly fen to test this out on a similar champion, the Champion Risen Juggernaut who also has a shield bubble only this time when I used signet of might my attacks actually did damage to him.

So in conclusion I must ask/know, against the LIS is this the way it’s intended to work, if so then why not just make the LIS invulnerable during his shield bubble?

The intended LIS mechanic is that you land as many hits against the shield as possible in a short time to make it burst. My guess is that in order to count the hits the shield has to block them (effectively counting the blocks). If the LIS was invulnerable he probably wouldn’t block anything, but state that he’s invulnerable. In this case it wouldn’t be possible to count the hits.

The best way to use Signet of Might against the Legendary Imbued Shaman imo is by activating it followed quickly by an immobilize skill so it cannot go anywhere while your party knocks its shields off (if your party is good at quickly burning the shield, an immobilize might not even be necessary and can be replaced with something better for dps). Signet of Might has a few other decent applications in fractals like interrupting Subject 6 when it goes into shield form in the middle of a burn. Signet of might really doesn’t seem to be about doing more damage during fights in fractals, but instead adding an extra element of control on tough enemies which requires good timing and proper skill usage.
