Silver-Fed Salvage-o-Matic someday?
I’ve seen the items in the gemstore rotate more times than I can count.
I would almost guarantee, unless there was some sort of mechanic involved that Anet steered away from, (transmutation splitters) that you will see the silver fed salvage o matic again someday.
It isn’t too bad a deal at 1360 gems, copper salvage and silver salvage sold separately are 1300 gems in total but you get 3 black lion ticket scraps and 3 upgrade extractors as a bonus + other junk worth at least more than 60 gems I think.
Copper fed salvage o matic alone is 1k gems. Even if you have one already, it means you can give it to a toon so you don’t constantly have to pass it around to alts via the bank.
Then you get the extractors, priced normally at 250 gems each ,so 750 gems worth on top of two items normally worth 1k gems, the ticket scraps which are a low drop rate on BLTC chests.
Simply put, it’s a bargain.

800 gems for the copper, 500 for the silver.

Yep. It sucks that I already have the copper-fed-salvage-o-matic. If I didn’t I’d totally get that salvage package for 1360 gems. But as it stands now, with me already having the copper-fed salvage-o-matic I don’t think it’s worth it for me.

Pass a second to another character.
After some internal debate I broke down and bought one. As has been said it does work out to be a bargain and I was 3 scraps short of my new shadow longbow skin anyways. I also have 2 sigils of generosity I wanted to remove from unsalvageable weapons.
The silver fed still requires 60 copper per use and to me that is just to high seeing as I have enough mystic forge stones to last me for about 3 years (rares only) so it sits on an alt.
Hi, i just bought the Salvager’s kit but i have a problem with the extractors. When i double click on them nothing happens and if i right click on them i only have the option to destroy them. Am i missing something?

Extractors you have to click on the item you want to get the upgrade from
“ANet. They never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity to not mess up.”
Mod “Posts created to cause unrest with unfounded claims are not allowed” lmao
I have the the armor in my inventory. I don’t have any option in any way to extract the rune. I have seen in videos people to double click the extractor and then a window pops. That’s not happening to me.
Make sure you have the item you want to extract from in a non-safe box/bag
what item is it?
Don’t the copper fed and silver fed salvage-o-matics function identically? The wiki seems to think so.
The item is not in a safe bag. It’s boots that i want to extract a strenght rune.

They are basically infinite use salvage kits.
Copper fed is same quality as basic and costs 3c per use. Basic kits cost 3.5c per use.
Silver fed is same quality as master and costs 60c per use. Master kits cost 61c per use. Mystic kits cost 10c per use (disregarding cost of mystic forge stones)
