Am I missing something?…. it costs more to salvage.. it costs 500 gems to buy this anyways.. and then it costs more using it 25 times than buying the masters salvage kit anyways, 1 silver per use.. .. outside of visiting a merchant.. which I need to do anyways for other stuff.. I really don’t get this.. can anyone give me a valid reason to buy this?

I honestly can’t think of one. I only ever use Master/Mystic Kits for Rares anyway, and it’s not like I’m swimming in those. A typical Mystic Kit will last me for at least 3 – 4 months.

If this was a permanent Black Lion Salvage Kit, then I’d have bought it in a heartbeat.

For one thing, saves you inventory space and you don’t have to go to a merchant every now and then to buy the salvage kit.

Yeah, but with the Copper kit, you could get good use out of it when you’re mass salvaging for mats, clearing out your pack midway during a dungeon/Fractal/EotM train. Using the Master/Mystic kits on anything other than Rares or above is a huge waste of money.

Still, it’s people’s choice if they want to buy it. The icon is cool-looking, at least.

Personally, I’d bump the price up to 1000 gems, 3 silver per use, and turn it into a permanent Black Lion Salvage Kit.

I get that.. but thats like the only plus thing.. but in saying that.. I need to go to merchant often anyways.. for selling or tools or even repairs..( I know its not a merchant that repairs.. but usually one close by)…. it might be worth 500 gems.. but then 1silver per use after that.. thats just crazy

What do you mean saves bag space? One mystic forge salvage kit has 250 charges… that’s 2.5 gold with the Silver Salvage-o-matic… buy some mystic forge stones with your 500 gems and make several stacks of mystic forge salvage kits.

I dunno about you, but I reserve MFSKs for yellow or better and still haven’t burned through the first stack (1/10 I made) I gave to my warrior (I’m a casual player).

I completely agree.. I just dont see any value in the silver-fed salvage kit.. its like buying an everlasting tool.. and then costing bronze or silver on every use as well..

Just say no to really dumb stuff.

The silver kit can actually mess up your inventory space because it will salvage junk upgrades like green runes and sigils off armor and weapons. The mystic salvage kit is just cheaper and has enough charges for salvaging rare stuff,
