After having read different sections of the forum. I’ve come to realize that players have a lot of issue (including my self) with how certain things are being run in game. The answer to all your problem is simple people. “Option -> Log off game”. Go spend time with your friends and family. I do it daily after logging on to see if any guildies online then log off if nothing happening

But we all require different answers. I’m willing to wager most of the things that I care about aren’t most of the things that most other people care about. Some people say the ranger is irreparably broken but there are people in my guild who love their rangers.

Some people say that we shouldn’t have any gear progression at all, it should just be cosmetic, but just as many people, possibly more, say that we should have more gear progression, more stuff to do at level 80.

Some people say there should be harder/more challenging dungeons, while other people say dungeons are too hard as they are.

It’s easy to ask for solutions, but I don’t think we all require the same things from a game.

It’s easy to ask for solutions, but I don’t think we all require the same things from a game.

I honestly do not understand the attachment people have to a single MMO game. It’s a category of games, not a single product, and as such individual games exist within the genre to satisfy different audiences.

It’s like writing a review for the movie “My Italian Summer Romance” and saying it was okay, but it needs more car chases and explosions. And a serial killer. And talking animals.

Or going into McDonald’s and complaining, loudly, because you want pizza and they don’t have pizza so either they make you a pizza or you’re going to leave. Go to Pizza Hut then, McDonald’s doesn’t serve pizza.

One product or venue cannot be all things to all people. If you don’t find what you want there, it’s not a problem to go elsewhere to find what you are looking for. Why do people act as though the entire game is going to shut down because someone who wants to play WoW2 is told that this is not the right game for him?

I think the main reason for this is the subscription-based model. Somehow people get the idea that because they are repeatedly paying for access to the game, that they somehow own the game itself, and therefore have a say in how the company runs the game. This is not true.

I mean, you could pay $50 or more for a good meal at an upscale restaurant, but do you think this gives you the right to walk into the kitchen and order the staff around? You’d get thrown out of the building for trying. But people order around the staff of an MMO as if they own the company.

Say you buy a dvd of a 2 hr movie for $20 and watch it twice. That’s $5 per hour of entertainment. Then you pay $15 for a month to sub to a game and play it for 30 hours over the course of the month. That’s 50 cents per hour of entertainment. You’re already getting a great bargain on cost/hour, why do you think you deserve more? Does buying a dvd give you the right to direct the sequel? Why does subbing to a game give you the right to dictate how the game is run?

Guildwars 2 doesn’t even have a subscription fee. If you bought the game six months ago, your account will still be there in a year or two years, or five years. What do you think your cost/hour will be in five years? If you play heavily for a month or two and walk away, you’ve already gotten your money’s worth from the game.

The game itself was designed to work in a specific way, and to offer specific things. I think that people’s expectations for the game differed greatly from what was offered, and in trying to please everyone, the company running the game has lost some of their focus, which helps no one and disappoints everyone to some extent.

If the game does not meet your expectations, I believe you should change your expectations to match the game, or change games to match your expectations. There are other games out there which offer what you are looking for. You don’t need to pound your feet and yell until they change this game into what you want.

The reason people get to attached to specific MMO’s is simple: they are the most social type of game available. There is no other game type that allows you to interact with other people and make friends in a virtual world whole having fun doing so, at the MMO level. It’s quite simple really.

Gonna be honest here. My only issue with the game is that there is only 1 base sPvP mode and they have made it a huge pvp grind to get the cooler gears. I think the solution would be to add in more things to show your rank like permanent finishers and other thi… Oh wait this isn’t the thread for that I got carried away. But yeah I’m just gonna wait for the future patches/expansions. The game is great for others but not yet for me.

Peace

Which is why developers should make a decisions about what kind of game they are going to make. Also, gear treadmill is lazy design. Plain and simple.

Yes of coarse. That’s exactly what a teenager and Disney adult would do. Run away from problems and issues.

You see, real adults, mature adults have a responsibility to care about things. They discuss problems and find solutions no matter how difficult it is.

Real mature adult need to understand its a game and nothing more. Why put so much effort into solving problem that really don’t exist or matter to begin with?

Lol, with that nihilist philosophy what does anything mean? Eventually you die, so you will lose your family, car, significant other, pets, belongings. Nothing really matters except what an individual wants to matter. Life lesson one.

Or, you could just play the game and not worry about the forums. If DR’s were removed, that’s where I would be.

Other than that, you can take your own advice and log off the forums if you don’t like it.

QQ means crying…complaining. The Q is a symbol of an eye with a tear coming down it. So QQ is someone crying/complaining about something.

WOOOT! dude you made me laugh today, BUT I have to say. I respect your beliefs (Not you specific here Vayne) but others who have this kind of Belief. I mean no disrespect. okie dokie?
Okay just wanted to clarify that. NOW on the subject. OP I do just that. I log in see whats the haps and log off. Although it’s hard for someone like me to enjoy spending time with my family seeing as how they asleep when I come home from work. I have No friends IRL. I prefer to not have friends. I’m crying much about anything MAJOR but there are some minor gripes that I live with just fine. Like there not being any Corn mats to gather and what not.

PS the Corn thing is actually serious.
EDIT: can’t spell for crap at 2:30 in the morning.
