In this game we have a large number of traits and consumables that grant you x stat based on a percentage of another stat, but as far as I know, there’s nothing in the game aside from sigil of bursting that increases a stat by a percentage of itself. Why is that? Cross stat amplification is good for not having to give up too much of one stat to achieve the strengths you’re going for. Same stat amplification would promote focusing on one stat and getting to the highest point you can for it.
