Sinister vs Viper for Burning DH
I don’t know a whole lot about DH condition builds. But the advantage of Viper’s gear is that it gives condition duration. The idea is to get your conditions to 100% duration using traits, and food and runes and Viper gear then once you hit the 100% cap you use sinisters gear.
Food + utilitiy = 30% duration
Runes = 45% burn duration
that gives you 75% duration, so you need to come up with another 25%. You can use sigil of malice to get 10% and then 15% from Viper’s gear, or you can get 21% from viper’s gear and use sigil of bursting for more condition damage.
As I often crit and F1 resets each time I kill foe which is always 6-7 secs, I concluded Sinister gear is better for this kind of build.
Theres rune that provides +20% burning duration which is enough to fix that 1 s gap.
If you run a condition duration build you don’t need to press F1. Just having the three Guardian burning traits (burning duration, burn every three strikes, burn enemies around your target in an AoE), makes them a passive burning powerhouse, able to inflict 10+ burning stacks just from a GS whirl. This all works on allies, too.
The main strength of this build is that you can kill five enemies within seconds. My Celestial Guardian runs this build with 100% burning duration and the total DPS exceeds my Berserker-geared Dragonhunter.
The pure condition damage build with pressing F1 all of the time has a big flaw, it is very weak at bosses because you are not killing mobs all the time. And this is the majority of the encounters in the game outside of grinding.
I’m usually really sweet… but this an internet forum and you know how it has to be.

I am running hybrid, not condition guardian.
Although switching to these burning trates improved my damage, thanks.
On bow I have 105% buring duration while on my GS its 85%.
I dont think i need viper anymore
