Skill Tool Tip Option and UI

Skill Tool Tip Option and UI

Unless I’m missing an option, I would like to have an option to remove the massive skill tool tip block.

Also, we need to be able to move and resize individual UI elements to our liking. The current fixed windows are not conducive to focusing on combat at all.

To explain… I am watching the combat center screen. My eyes have to keep looking down at the combat UI because we are asked to micromanage a bunch of different types of skills and swaps. My party window is upper left near corner. Enemy window top center. Health bars are not very prominent normally or noticeable in the graphic spam so I have to keep looking upper left. Huge tool tip blocks appear on mouse over… Our enemies are moving all over and skills are popping off quick. AoE circles all over I have to maneuver around… I’ve never had a more uncomfortable visual experience in all my years of gaming.

I played City of Heroes pvp for years and had less eye strain, could customize my UI to MY liking, there were not obstructive skill tool tips, I could completely clear my central PoV… While playing support I could set the party bar to convenient locations for ease of being supportive. I was able to focus on the enemies and their clear health bars and skills… not fiddling with the combat UI and having my focus forced to 5-6 different locations on the screen constantly while getting my pixelated face smashed in.

Please make some upgrades because players want to play and watch the game, not the UI.

Thank you for reading!

Edit- I would like to add that this is the only MMO I have ever played where most of the skill come from mastering the controls and UI, not mastering my skills. I was a hard core pvper for a long time and can honestly say the controls and over use of aiming reticle skills are not a smooth experience for fast paced “twitchy” combat. Its unfortunate that GW2 has a clunky feel to controls, some clunky skill designs and a lesser quality UI compared to a game that ran parallel to Guild Wars…

Not my videos, but I was able to focus on the gameplay and play smoothly because the UI, the basic controls and the skills themselves were conducive to fast paced combat. Playing support was a smooth and enjoyable experience as well, not clunky like here.

I’ll find more and better screen shots.
