I see a lot of people complaining about having to use Transmutation Charges on skins now, but I don’t think they realize that skins are now account wide. All of your characters are building up a huge account wardrobe that you can use on the fly with transmutation charges, which are given out for completing monthly quests.

I really love the new wardrobe and right now Anet is giving away 5 free charges, so you can re-equip your skin for free anyway. I just think some people are getting angry over something they should be excited about! You can equip an item with the skin of any piece of equipment any of your characters has ever equipped, and I think that’s amazing.

same, now I don’t have to find the armor/weapon I want just for the skin and have to buy a trans stone from the shop with gems just to get a skin I want that can be found normally in game. Now you can change skins wherever and whenever to whatever skin you have had in your inventory. that is nice. Plus you can still get charges from exploration, or so I hear. If not that would be disappointing.

Is good. I like the SAB weapons on the mesmer and want the same look no matter what stats I use. Also always wanted those sweet pistols for thief. Unless I dont understand that single pistol I got can be copied many times now. I think its only 100g on th TP….

Yes, must say I’m loving the wardrobe system, it’s also fun right now unlocking the skins for any and all drops I get. Will probably never use them but you know what they say, “gotta catch ’em all!” lol

People don’t like the 3 to 1 from old transmutation stones but at least for me I had over 100 of ‘em and struggled to find a use for them as I found it too much of a hassle to reskin my character’s gear every 10-15 levels and of course they didn’t work on lvl 80 gear meaning the crystals were always at a premium and were roadblocking a lot of my character’s getting the skins they wanted for their lvl 80 gear.

And the outfits! Probably my favorite part of the new system, it’s not perfect but it’s close enough to the GW1 costume system for me. My ele can be a pirate! My necro can actually wear the witch outfit for more than goofing around in town!

Only part I don’t like is the tonic clothes, can’t dye em so they’re more like “town uniforms” than personal clothes anymore. :-/
