Is there any statement if skins like Scarlets, SAB or Halloween will be available to obtain in the future? it’s pretty funny that Grinning shield surpassed the price of some legendaries arleady and in the near future it will happen to other skins too.

not really many are safekeeping their investment. The issue is that halloween 2012 skins were so rare that they were expensive even for that time. As people get more and more money they grow in price

It ruins the point collecting rarities if you know they’ll be around forever. It’s good to have some limited time prestige items, like a first edition baseball card in real life. Of course I’m biased having grinning shield, most super weapons, and both scarlet rifles.

The limited time ones will definitely keep climbing, in a few years it can reach pretty ridiculous prices but that’s part of the fun.

Sucks that back then I wasn’t using any guides to do things, all I got was nothing done and no achievements, stupid me.

2012 Hallowe’en weapons will likely become the most expensive skins in the game IF ArenaNet stick to their word of never re-introducing the (they said they will not, but I can’t source this). SAB, Scarlet’s weapons, Monocle, Jetpack etc could all still return at any point – even though at least for the LS items that it wouldn’t fit.

We’ve known for over a decade that discontinued, tradeable skins are an abomination in online economies, yet developers still add them early on just to stop them later. ArenaNet are one of these developers who learned too late to make a difference.
