“Fixed an issue in which the Powerful Potion of Slaying Scarlet’s Armies was causing players to take additional damage from Scarlet’s forces.”

-From the latest release notes.

Does this fix apply to other types of potions, e.g. Inquest, Undead, Dredge, and it does it apply to the lesser grade variants of them?

So are the other potions now all also really working finally as intended??
Can#t read between the lines of flissies post right now, if this is a confirmation, or not xD

They’re all fixed (explicitly tested with undead and inquest).

Not gonna lie, it looks really bad that the potion bugs persisted for 18 months, then when the LS shines a spotlight on said bug a day later the bug is fixed. That says to me you guys could have easily fixed if you’d been bothered to do so. If bugs like this are so easy to fix yet go unchecked, then perhaps it’s time to evaluate your priorities/allocation of resources?

I’m glad that the bug is finally fixed, but yeah, I echo the requests that more staff should be allocated to a true “bug fixing” team. There’s dozens of little annoying bugs in the game ranging from broken events to uncompletable achievements that, while not game breaking, is rather frustrating and takes away from the gaming experience.

Wow…. I always used those potions to be “safer” in dungeons and more efficient.

I have to laugh – the Devs for Lord of the Rings Online couldn’t figure out a minus sign to save their lives. There was almost nothing in that game that didn’t fire in reverse the first few weeks it was out. “10% chance on being hit to do 17 damage to attacker” INVARABLY healed the attacker for a couple weeks (or longer). It was so bad it went from funny, to not funny, all the way back around to funny again.

When its obvious that a minus sign has been flipped, I tend to chalk it up to crappy internal documentation. It’s almost comforting to see the silliness extends to this game too.

I think it would be really nice that the next time we choose our own CDI topic, we choose “bug fixes” and use this thread as a prime example to illustrate our point.
