I have the complete edition of the Mad Memoires, the flaming book from the first Halloween, and unfortunately I threw away the green incomplete one you required to craft the complete edition.

Legendary weapons unlock any legendaries required for it (Eternity) and the precursors used to craft it, I thought this applied to more than just legendaries?

It’s no stretch, the green book was required to grab the complete book, is this under the radar?

I have Eye of Rodgort.
I had to craft Lidless eye to craft Eye of Rodgort, yet I do not have Lidless eEye

Oops… something went wrong… or would this only happen to legendaries? Because my Full Fractal backpiece got me refunded with 4 skins (basic prototype, beta fracal prototype, full prototype, and wind catcher I had transmuted onto the backpiece).

It might be a bug. Maybe not. I have both back items still personally, so they both unlocked.

It wasn’t require for you to craft the second book, it was a quest reward for the quest that unlocked the quest chain for the second book.

So, no mistake.

The green backpiece was not consumed in the process of creating the flaming one, so it probably doesn’t count like a precursor would. It seems you had to have kept both skins in order to unlock both skins.

I don’t know why the Lidless Eye doesn’t unlock alongside the Eye of Rodgort, though. That might be an oversight.

You guys are right about the crafting bit, the green Mad Memoires wasn’t consumed when crafting the flaming complete version but still, it was required in Act 2 while retrieving the other pages.

Just thought owning the complete version is more than enough evidence to unlock the incomplete green version of the book, it’s impossible for someone to own the complete version otherwise.

The others are right about why it didn’t work. It’s not a direct part of the crafting process. However, I agree with you that it still constitutes evidence of having the first and hopefully this will come to a dev’s attention and they can issue some sort of skin-refund for you. Still, they would in a sense be justified in refusing since it was technically your mistake in destroying the original and the mechanics don’t allow for it currently. I’m pulling for you, though.
