Welcome to American education.
Spelling Sylvari (with capital letter) wasn’t on the SOL, so it didn’t get taught.

Then again, some people have trouble with “you,” so… I’m not getting my hopes up. =P

Colored me disappointed. When I read the thread title, I thought the thread would be about putting the Asura in their proper place.
Welcome to American education.
False statistic perpetuated by the unquestioning e-masses.
The US and other countries like it will always have lower education ‘statistically’ because we don’t have a culling system.
For those of you who don’t know what that means, in certain countries (pretty much every country in Asia, and quite a few in Europe) there is a system where a portion of the less successful end of the each graduating class is culled from the education system, given lesser educational opportunities or even none at all. And the amount culled only gets larger the closer they get to testing age, meaning that only those already guaranteed to have impressive test results ever get tested.
In short, we rate statistically lower, and always will, because we give everyone an equal opportunity, as it is a founding principle of our country. If you’re ashamed of that, you have worse things to be ashamed of.
In short, we rate statistically lower, and always will, because we give everyone an equal opportunity, as it is a founding principle of our country.
You’re serious? We still don’t have equal opportunities…
sliervy expension conformed?

Typical misinterpretation.
There is not a single US legal or founding document which states that equality is guaranteed or should be enforced, in fact pretty much every single one of our founding documents condemns enforced equality.
It is stated, that all should be provided with equal opportunity, not have it forced upon them. Meaning that if anyone has opportunity greater than that what legally required government services (such as education) provide, good for them, but it in no way detracts from the constitutional rights you share equally with everyone else.
This ridiculous argument that we don’t have equal rights follows the same line of thinking as protesters who think they can’t be forcefully removed from private property, right before they are. Private citizens are under no obligation to enforce the ideals of the government unless law specifically states so; and nothing in the Bill of Rights equal opportunity clause states they do, nor by any logical standard could it.

Wait people can’t make a difference between you’re and your and you expect them to write Sylvari right? I love your optimism, really I do.
