So “Slow” as a condition is already in this game though it is not called “Slow.” It has another name entirely and only one mob in the game can apply it to players. Can you guess what it is and what the condition is called?

Hint 1:
He is a bounty
Hint 2:
He is in Southsun
Answer:
Anders "Wildman" Westward and the condition is called "Knockout Gas"

So is the condition work the same as the condition already in the game? Stacking on players (25 stacks much like bleeds)? Or will it work exactly like Quickness? Also, will this mob have its special condition changed or will it stay the same?

There’s also an enemy npc that has a skill called taunt. It does pretty much exactly what the new CC does.

Just because it’s already in the game does not mean it’s available for player use.

Give us more GW 1 weapon and armor skins, please. COPY/PASTE ALREADY!!!!

Uhm… how about slow = chill?
Just without chill’s effect on cooldowns, I guess?

which one would that be?

i only know of the Sylvari Champion in Brisban Wildlands
but he has a different CC

it changes your controlls to the opposite
so if you press “Walk left” you will walk to the right etc…

but i dont know of ANY enemy that has the Taunt mechanic already…

It’s not exactly the same, but it’s certainly where they tested the mechanic/drew inspiration from.

Nope:

  • Chill increases skill cooldown
  • Slow increases skill activation

If we are talking about the same Champ, the one with the 2 other NPCs that has “Tanks” written under the health bar, her skill actually forces a player to run to her, just like how Taunt will work in PVE. You can’t move to other directions, just go to her in a straight line.

That’s her:

And this is her skill:

Looks like the same as the new Taunt
I don’t know about that Sylvari boss that changes your controls though, where is he?

chill reduces your movement speed and increases the cooldown on skills you use during chill.

Slow works like quickness but in reverse. It decreases your attack animations.

Meaning if your 1-1-1 chain takes 2 seconds it will now take 3 second to pull off.
If your ice bow 4 takes 3 seconds to cast, it will now take 4.5 seconds to cast.

This also effects melee skills such as 100blades or whirlwind. Makes them easier to spot and avoid. Thats the whole point of slow i guess
