Tons of unnecessary images, the dialogues who possibly will not be heared in episode like the famous scene from the Head of the Snake trailer where in the episode Jennah did not say that “Kryta will not be broken” etc.

Why the heck the designer put an attack of necro player or somebody who swings her sword.

The voice in the end sounds so weak. It should sound like: You have to save Tyria!!! not like “save tyria…….” like somebody was bored or something.

“The charade ends here” made the end more epic. (Flashpoint trailer)

I just hope you won’t end ep 6 in the way as you created the trailers.

I think the “Go on, save Tyria” line was delivered that way on purpose and that the character saying it likely isn’t trying to be an encouraging influence.

+1

That was clearly intentional. However, my take on it is it gives the impression that the speaker is an extremely powerful and/or knowledgeable entity. She knows what is to come. She knows what our part in all of this is and pretty much knows how everything will play out. Almost like how Ogden was speaking to us in the episode we go to Glint’s lair. He was essentially treating us like a kid that knows nothing and that he is in a position of power.

I’ve always liked their trailers. They tease just enough information for people to pick apart vague details without outright telling you the story.

This one was a bit of a mess, but normally, I think they do a good job. You just have to speculate a little and not expect to be spoon fed everything.

That being said, I return to my previous statement that this particular trailer is pretty disjointed. I will definitely agree there.

The voices to me sound (in order) like Brahm, Anise, the echoing voice of a ghost , and a voice i dont recall ever hearing before. Possibly a new character we havent seen in game. I thought the trailer was good for being a teaser. It shows us what we’ve done/where we’ve gone, and gives brief scenes of where we are going (and how its changed) without giving away too much.

Wooden Potatoes heavily speculated that the red haired lady in the fire scenes was Livia based on her dark skin, red hair, and overall implied “awesomeness”.

He then immediately corrected himself and showed a link where that woman was a previously introduced priestess of Balthazaar, and definitely not Livia.
Aside from that, there’s the voice that no one is willing to say for certain is even the same VA as Livia, but might be. Maybe. I honestly think they just desperately want it to be Livia, so they’re finding/ hearing her in places where she may not actually be. But who knows.

Edit: The voice is not Livia’s VA. That would be Mari Weiss. http://m.imdb.com/name/nm0002985/filmotype/actress?ref_=m_nmfm_1
She has not been mentioned to have returned to the GW story on either IMDB or anything I can find from Anet.

I think the “Go on, save Tyria” line was delivered that way on purpose and that the character saying it likely isn’t trying to be an encouraging influence.

This is my interpretation. The voice actress sounds like the same one who does a lot of generic human female voices, especially bandits.

I suspect this line will be delivered by a female mercenary who will taunt the hero and the role of “saving Tyria” by aiding the dragons.

Dear ANet writers,
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.

I wouldn’t call them awful, just highly misleading. The trailers always promise grand adventure of epic proportions, but then the content just doesn’t deliver.

Hopefully, I will be proven wrong this time. At least we are returning to Orr, something I have been waiting for for years.

Content delivers for me. Maybe you’re expecting a movie or a bioware game. Since this game is almost 5 years old now, I’d have thought people would understand that this is a style of story tellling. It’s different from the style most people are used to, but it doesn’t make it bad story telling.

It would be bad in a book, it’s just fine for a game.

I dunno. In my experience game trailers are ALWAYS highly misleading.

Other than that, the age of the game shouldn’t matter in regards to the quality of the content.

Anet trailers since Rising Flames are really chaotic. The trailer Out of the Shadows was amazing and reminded my about Ls2 trailers.

LS2 trailers were amazing and epic and actually showed what is going to happen. The same Ls1 ones.

LS3 trailers show more chars pics than content and this is what I hate in these trailers.

The name of this episode looks like devs had not idea how to name it. One Path Ends sounds odd. But maybe it was used as a sign how 2nd expansion will be called. PoF? Perhaps it means: Path of something.

Anyway what I love in the trailers is music- it’s only what I love in them.

Echoes of the past was the best recap of LS2 so sad they didn’t use the same way in OPE trailer.

I am hyped because I am looking forward to the possible cinematics after episode’s end.

Suggestion for the next trailer: less slow-motion walking. Great way to show off if you have an eye-catching, high-performance engine. If.

In the present case it only reminds your customers the engine is older that half of them, chokes on one CPU core while utilising a 2nd to 13%… and looks like that.

I’d buy a full prize expansion which only consists of a decently parallelised engine.

Why the heck the designer put an attack of necro player or somebody who swings her sword.

Looking closely at that swing, I see green and leaves when that guy swings his sword.

So far as I know, no sword skill in the game does that. If I’m right, that means they’re showing a new ability. Either something upcoming for us, or something exclusive to that NPC.

[Edit] And as for that voice at the end? I don’t recall if we heard a voice for the new leader of the Nightmare Court yet or not, but for some reason she’s the first person that sprang to mind when I heard that. She would be an uncomfortable ally indeed.

The effect in the video just looks like the Reaper GS auto-attack (specifically the first hit of it). The first strike creates a green cloud effect, and little feathers/leaves fly off.

The guy with white beard is most likely the char of a dev.

the voice at the end is unlikely the Duchess Chrysanthea- new leader of NC.

It is Livia/Kormir.

Anise in the trailer says that Kryta must make uncommon allies. I think it means the alliance with another Human territory like Cantha or Elona.

But anyway it seems that Human know that Balthazar is back
Anise just wants to find something what will be continuing the Human race.

Balthazar the ancient God is going to cause something cataclysmic. The faith of Human is going to collapse.

I wonder what Jennah will do now

Human are in the dead end. Worst than Sylvari because the faith of Human stayed almost untouched and now after 1330 years all what they believed is going to become the trash.
