The exotic insignia is the most expensive part.

Maybe I misunderstood that but I think Pact Tyria Commander mastery line will grant you access to NPC who will sell exclusive stuffs including returning items from season 1.

Maybe we will be able to buy recipes of zealot insignia and rune of torment through it.

If you have the spockrocket mine in your home instance is ezz.
If not grind silverwastes and buy on tp. ~10g a piece sounds is cheap.

Zealot is the exotic name anyways, the asc is called keepers. I guess you want to make exotic gear, in which case the mf recipe for changing stats doesnt work.
If you want to craft exotic gear, you have to buy the recipes for the insignia/inscription and each gear piece from the tp, as they dotn drop anymore. I expect Anet to reintroduce the recipes at some point but i wouldnt wager on them doing it before HoT releases.

All you need is the exo insignia, the recipe still exist to create it.

So unless Anet goofed really hard, the conversion should still work.

The OP asked about the exotic gear (zealot), not the ascended gear (keeper). I guess its the 33g price tag for the exo insignia recipe that he isnt chuffed about.

I don’t recommend it. I made an exotic set of Zealot for my Guard and a full set of Keeper armor and daggers for my Elementalist.

The extra healing was not very noticeable but the loss of critical damage was.

I recently converted my keeper gear to zerker and I’m very glad that’s now an option.
