So, Tried My First Dungeon!
wait what? what exactly happened? You have perked my interest with your lack of detailed information.
To sum it up, I lLOVED playing dungeons in GW but it seems that in GW2, I don’t. My lack of detailed info. is on par with….you know what…nvm!

So you’re 80 and you failed at the dungeon.
Dungeon rule one = Dont Standd in Red Circles
Dungeon Rule two = Rez downed players near you
Dungeon Rule three = When defeated don’t be stupid and expect someone to spend 30 seconds whilst being attacked by mobs to rez you. Rez yourself at the WP and run back.
They asked me how I got to 80. I just logged out after that (I could’ve told them how I strategically optimised my builds with my heroes in GW’s but I think they were already focussing on GW2 and the only answer they wanted was “Lol!” , dungeons not something I gonna be trying much more of. I’ll play other games with crosshairs where skill and not spam is a factor.
So you joined a group, walked into a dungeon, someone said, “How’d you get to Level 80”, and you logged off?
Did you delete an entire paragraph from your post or something?
SOS Spy Team Commander [SPY]
He doesn’t want to make a post detailing his dungeon experience because it would yield what is probably a very good reason for his party to say something like that.
Also, check out Hardcore Adventure Box: World 1, World 2, Lost Sessions

I’d like to add one rule:
Dungeon rule four = don’t go full dps, you need defensive gear and skills to survive
Occam Pi (Ele), Acaena Elongata (Warrior), Finja Salversdotir (Ranger),
Bytestream (Engineer), Vim Whitespace (Thief)

I think he deleted more then that… Obvious troll.
I did my first one today too, and it was a so-so experience. I kept falling behind everyone else because I paused to watch the story, but I managed to catch up. I put off doing dungeons up until now because of the low rewards I had read about here on the forums, so now I need to play catch up to my level.
No, I’m not a troll, as much as you kids like to throw that around so much. Compare GW dungeons with GW2 ones!
Gw = fun, GW2 = not so much!

here’s the ultimate dungeon advice – 100% success proof!
0% fail – guaranteed!
DO NOT GROUP UP WITH RANDOM PEOPLE
story mode might be succesfull 30% of the time with random people but still frustrating
i learned it the hard way
random votekicks, structured votekicks, afk-ing, leaving, flaming about watching cutscenes which results either in a votekick or leave, no structure and willing to learn and adapting to situations (which results in the group walking mindlessly into the same mob-group and dying over and over)
that socialness the game provides and advertises… /sarcasm
so yeah, get a guild or grab your friends, then do any dungeon, turn on your brain within a dungeon and you are all set
and if you still die at some spots, well, you will know better afterwards and will hopefully not do the same mistakes
“Only the finest of potatoes in my zerkburgers.”
Surprising fanboy shutdown going on in here…TC is saying that the combat is homogeneous zergfest and isn’t mentally engaging like GW1. Play The Deep or Urgoz in GW1 and compare to the level of difficulty or skill needed in GW2. GW2 combat and AI mechanics are just not deep systems. They’ve simplified everything so that there’s no inter-player dependence or strategy, so everyone just spams, rezes, dies, pays out ridiculous amount of money for armor fixes..
In GW1, monsters had player skills. The skills meant something and there was copious amounts of strategy and team synergy put into countering the AI because the AI was just as advantaged as the player. In GW2, everything is just number difficulty rather than mechanical difficulty because, for whatever reason, they decided to totally **** on what made the first game have a hook of longevity in the player base. Palpable customization, deep combat, and engaging group dynamics..all of which is severely limited in GW2.
I will refrain from speaking poorly of Guild Wars 1. There are many different games that come in various forms. It’s good to have diverse selection available. But I must say, I am entirely happy that this game is a sizable departure from Guild Wars 1.
I can totally respect the comments on skills and such. I’d like to see more interesting skills as well.
Shame we don’t have a forum for discussion about dungeons. Maybe if we did, this person could find tips on how to do them…
^ since when do people give anything about forum sections? if the mods doesn’t care so doesn’t the users
and don’t get me wrong, dungeons still need ALOT work
they are not fun for me as they are right now
balance them out, get rid of the bugs make a troll preventing group system for them (which is impossible imo)
and i would be happy
and if you don’t strategize through the dungeons, spend pointless time and gold into dying through it
works too – i don’t like it
i also don’t like a-net’s idea of using specific classes and builds to get through a specific dungeon
very social too
you going to any dungeon, search for a group and you get rejected, ‘cuz you are class “x”
but as class “y” you don’t even have to ask for an invite
i still don’t get what spam has to do with dungeons nor i even exactly get what TC wants to tell us – which makes my post pretty pointless
well whatever

The dungeons in GW2 are so boring.
Whatever happened to the missions in GW1?
Oh, that’s right, GW2 is an ‘mmo’, so it must by definition have boring dungeons where you attack one mob for 5 minutes.
If I wanted this crap I would play other MMOs.
