They’ve been adding raids into the Living Story, the most recent was in the last chapter: The Scarlet Hologram encounter.

When you call zerging a raid, then yes. Just follow the worldboss zerg then (and don´t forget to press 1 from time to time).
If you mean something like revamped Tequatl, or 3H-Wurm, then yes.
But it´s open world, so making an organised run is hard to do now with the megaservers. Finding an public “selforganised” run there is almost impossible and since no one seems to take 5 minutes to read up the tactics on Dulfy, don´t bother with it.
Some things you just can´t zerg.

If you mean raids in comparison with some other MMOs, then no.
Not even close.

Edit: forgot to mention the occational Living Story stuff. But it is not permanent and anything that requires a bit of organising is just a pain in the buttocks on public “raids”.

Actually, what GW2 offers is closer to classic raiding than those 10 or 25 man contents which are nothing more than glorified dungeons.

I really enjoyed the Marionette encounter, hope we get more like that

Mario was kinda fun with the Guild doing it. With a bunch of randoms whining about not having a commander, then getting one that actually knows what to do and how to explain and then still not doing it… not so much.
I think i found my first gray hair there, and not on the head^^

I hope we never get that crap here. If anything can drive me from the game than its that because i never ever will play some of these progression oriented MMO anymore.

it is not crap, it just is different from GW2. I enjoy both types of games. Just because you dislike it does not make it “crap”.

This progression oriented stuff already exists in this game. Especially if it is related for some classes/builds. Still no real raids.
