Can we get medium armor (specifically for female Asura) that’s not a trenchcoat, and is sleeveless? Simple request. :P

I just don’t think it’s really thematically fitting for someone like a Thief or Ranger to be running around in a giant trenchcoat, as it’d get in the way. Something form-fitting with short sleeves or none at all would be nice though.

Yea, I find it curious on how engineers, rangers, or thieves would all require trenchcoats.

It would be nice to have an option for bare arms in particular. I’ve got a charr with a really nice fur pattern, a norn with cool tattoos and a sylvari with bioluminescence and none of them are able to show it off because it ends up hidden under their clothing.

Yeah, outside of light armor, most of the stuff in this game is either super bulky, a robe, or a trenchcoat. The Leystone medium chest is nice, but I don’t like the butt flap it has.

Light Asura T3 though. <3 That and Conjuror Vest.

I’m sure it’d be easier to make a sleeveless, non-trenchcoat piece too, since there’s less animation involved.

On a female Asura, it’s like a shirt that’s too small. Skin-tight, and the sleeves go halfway down your forearm. Looks kind of silly. Same with Triumphant (if the sleeves were elbow length… I’d love it).

I AGREE! Oh and Anet, while you’re at it, some non-skirt LIGHT armor too, please! Something tight like Profane! I’m sick of clipping. I want tight PANTS. Thank you.

The medium SPVP reward track breastplate is nice for a non trenchcoat medium option. And for light, I like the aetherblade chest piece as well as the new triumphant WvW chest piece as neither is a skirt/dress. Hope this helps gl!

I have only one female Asuran I had the same problem even though they are not human that does not mean they cant be feminine. So I looked through my wardrobe and found the best top for them is the Whispers medium top. Its sleeveless it is coat like on the bottom of it though but still has that I’m a female look around the shoulders. I do not have any Charr so don’t know what it would look like on those

If you have the proper dyes you can almost get a sleeveless look on some armors.

Yeah, I’ve been looking at Illustrious, Viper’s and Leystone — but none are easy to get. xD

I’d be using Duelist Gloves though (just the hands, open fingers), so it needs to look good with them.

I would be just satisfied if they did with armor something similar as they do with outfits for female Asura and Charr. If the feminine version depends too much on breast or is “sexual(?)” something then keep the male version. But if the feminine version of the armor would do just fine, whyyyyy not let it be? Whyyyyy can’t my Asura have butterfly shoulders!? T.T

This. The Glorious Armor from the PvP track is overall a really nice set for all classes and for medium (leather) armor is specially appealing due isn’t a trenchcoat at all. Take a look:

Why the closed chest? Asura don’t have breasts so it’s not like there’s anything to hide.

That would really be nice! I also feel like there’s a lack of pants for the heavies (and maybe light too but I don’t really play that so I’m not sure). If I want to dress my female heavy up 9/10 choices for the bottom have some kind of skirt-y thing on them. In fact, I think I only have one option unlocked that is just a pants and it came from the gem shop. Now I have to admit that I haven’t gone out of my way to unlock every skin possible, but I still feel like there aren’t a lot of pants out there for the females (there seem to be for medium armor, but I suspect that’s because the trencoats go over it xD ). I know my character is a female. Doesn’t mean she can’t and doesn’t want to wear pants, Anet. xD

Because there are loads of them already and not many non-trenchcoats. Variety is good.

I like the medium leystone armor, but the butt flap is indeed weird, and the game could certainly stand to have some more understated, form-fitting options. Something closer to the bandit sniper’s or shadow assassin’s outfits.

Asura have other options if they don’t want their chests bared.

Frankly – I’d love a set similar to the Forsworn armor from Skyrim. Like a big furred shoulder-spanning collar (With breast straps underneath for non-Charr/asura females), and a knee-length, outer-thigh-exposing elaborate loincloth-thing held up by a thick belt.

My biggest problem with Medium armor is the lack of chest and leg-baring armors (Lack of leg-baring armors is a problem the whole game has for males. I want to see beefy thighs and calves. Especially on Norn and Charr!)

MORE OPTIONS I hate the long trenchcoats, and even though the glorious armor is at least tight fitting, it doesn’t look like leather at all. it has a huge plate on the middle of it. :S

Yes the trench coat and for heavy armor users the skirt/dress looking pants are beaten to death in this game. Please, please, please add some other people to the armor design team or give them some direction to branch away from the current armor designs in game. There is so much out there to get inspiration from….

personally i think the whole different skins for different armor classes drags the whole system down.
yes it would seem strange if a heavy weight class skinned something light and skimpy and still had heavy armor stats BUT i think it is a leap of logic most players would be willing to take for more skin diversity.
The other side of the coin would be more dev work to make sure the different bits and pieces all clip together well but in the end I think it would work out in their favor (only having to make 5-10 versions of an armor set depending on if they account gender as opposed to 15-30 if they also include weight class)

There are a few options without trenchcoats. My Asuran thief looks leathery enough.

I don’t recognize that chest armor, are you sure it is not asura exclusive? I have a human and I can’t use that.

It’s the triumphant brigandine, humans can use that too. I think its koda feet, swindler pants, the Asuran t3 eye piece and some random small shoulder pads/gloves, cant be bothered to login and check.
