So, i bought the wrong exotic item with CF badges.

Been grinding some CF, and finally i got 180 badges to buy a exotic armor reward, was a bit tired and instead of buying the heavy armor gloves i bought the light armor gloves wich i cant use and now are souldbound.

Entirely my fault i agree.

But i would like to see one of the following implementations for the game :

1. Only display Souldbound items/rewards per class at the vendor.

2. Implement Sell back to the Exotic dungeon rewards NPCs

3. Implement GM tools so we can get items changed upon request.

One of the above options would be great imo.

Sell back makes the most sense. Sometimes I like to preview the armors I can’t use.

Well i had a 2-3 min rage session on guild channel about it, but now im calm again tough.

But i would like to know if any tools for changing this item back, is on the way or not, or if i should buy another pair of gloves, but this time the heavy ones….

I sent a support ticket, but guildmates allready said that they dont reinburse or change items. So im not having much hope for that one. Once i bought the wrong item for gold, at the vigil armor vendor, and i contacted a GM and they simply said.

“We lack the tools to change the item for you”

So i guess it is the same story with this issue.

Maybe a pop-up warning about buying soulbound armor that isn’t for your class? That would allow you to preview something and still require an extra level of verification without having to bother GMs or retrofit the buy-back system to include dungeon tokens.

I mean, there’s a pop-up every time I want to salvage some crappy green boots that aren’t for my class and are 40 levels below me to make sure I am POSITIVE I want those mithril ingots. …It couldn’t hurt to add one to keep people from losing their dungeon tokens on something they cant use or maybe mis-spending them due to lag.

Unfortunately, they will not refund. I bought 2 Karma chests on accident when I lagged in Orr (yes, the 42k Karma chest) and I got “we lack the tools to refund” BS (after 8 days waiting on a ticket, mind you.) Seriously, no way of refunding mistakes or a sell back option…or even a CONFIRMATION BOX is just horrible design ( and customer service.) There are already a lot of things to get frustrated about in this game, I really didn’t need to through away 10+ hours of karma farming because of lag and a lack of support. Say what you will about Blizzard – I have never had anything but prompt, friendly, and satisfactory customer support from them over the years – kind of disappointed in Anet right now, new game launch or not.

They do need a Buyback system for those items.

Maybe put a 24-hour limit on it to prevent abuse.

In my case, a simply message saying : “Sorry your class cannot buy this item” would have been enough, since its souldbound, why would i want to buy that anyway`??

I would like to not see this item. I think that the only access the GM’s should have to the server is to restore accounts. I think that Item generation can just lead to problems. The other two would work well. Especially the first one.

this happened to me also today. 42k down the drain. Not holding much hope after some quick googling and this post.

I’d gladly refarm all the karma if A-Net would just fix it so you can only buy armor for your class. Learn from our mistakes please.

Just bought a medium chest instead of Heavy with Crucible of Eternity tokens. Very sad. Was so excited to finish my armor. Would be nice to see a feature to refund the item for the badges you purchased within a certain time frame, or until you zoned, something.

Lots of people make mistakes, this is the first time I ever messed up like this. Oh well, just gotta run it a couple more times for a couple more days. No big. But still want to see a sellback system.
