So indecisive..
Mesmer and guardian are to me the best all round professions. Eles are pretty balanced too but harder to play.
Just level 2 characters: Warrior and Guardian at the same time. Warrior for damage and Guardian for invincible god mode.

I love my Guardian to death. Also recently started playing my elementalist again, she sat at 50 for the longest time. Then I read a few guides and really learned to play it better and now I love it. Once you learn how not to be squishy it’s a whole new world.
Warrior was my first 80, just because it was so simple to level. I found I really didn’t care for it at end game though and dumped it right after gearing it up decently. Got the Guardian to 80 next and I find I am much more useful in that role. Looking forward to my Ele hitting 80 soon.
something that is fun, challenging, and does well in the WvW side of pvp as well as Spvp. Solo’ing is a big thing as well as i don’t have many friends that play anymore.
Hard to think of something that satisfies all of these criteria. I’d say Elementalist is the best fit, it’s versatile, probably has the highest skill ceiling, and is magnificent in sPvP/WvW. Guardian is fun, is great for WvW and sPvP, but can be less fun for soloing and is usually considered one of the less challenging classes.
Ranger and Mesmer are my two favorite classes to play.
Rangers as I always play rangers lol – it may not be to your liking here. Great fun for open world roaming and DE’s.
Mesmer has a very active, trickster type playstyle. It can be loads of fun to play. It has a slow start though but does start shining about halfway through leveling.

Yea i know lol, i know i didnt want a warrior or ranger cause i level my ranger to 20 and the pet just isnt what i expected, and its not as fun as GW1 ranger was, which is what i always played. The ele is what caught my eye, but is it easy to solo with and not get 2 shot? I understand using my skills to survive is key, but which survives better solo and in pvp between ele and mesmer?

Survivability is usually a function of build rather than a specific class, like for instance a bunker D/D ele can be super hard to take down whereas a S/D glass cannon has to worry a lot more about bursting enemies down before they get killed themselves.

I see, like i said my highest was a 20 ranger. I didnt get much into a build at that point cause i quit during the first month or so. I suppose i will go and mess with them all again, i just like to play something that isnt press 2 buttons over and over and win. I enjoy having to mix things up to get kills and when i get in a sticky situation not be like oh i have to run, and come out with like no health but everything is dead, in a pve situation that is. I have always had this problem, not being able to decide. But coming back from a long break i figured i would see what everyone else has been playing and what they enjoy most Thanks for the respones Alys.

Don’t get a berserker warrior then (Actually I like playing my zerker warrior, it’s a nice change of pace from the hyperactive ele combat.)
And no problem!
I have all the professions at 80 and enjoy aspects of them all. There are professions that I believe need work more than others but they all are viable and I believe they will eventually get the work they need.
I have played my guardian most over time. I’ve always said that if I had to go to a fight I needed to win, I’d take the guardian. He affords a more relaxed playstyle and I love to a end fight with near full health. It’s a comfort factor. That said I have a d/d ele that I just played for a week. The ele is an edge of your seat playstyle and I play it when I’m feeling expansive. I probably still would say that I’ve had the most fun on my mesmer. I love the kiting mechanic and the mesmer just seems to come together as a perfect ranged class for me. But, I’m a hopeless altoholic. I love melee and ranged, heavy armor, light, and everything in between. I think GW2 has done a fine job of covering the class archetypes. There is something for everyone here.

Sadly, i’m an altoholic too, but i would like to try and break it lol. I think the 3 i may try out will be ele, engi, and guard
