So many bots....
No one else is concerned with the amount of bots?
I have only seen static bots at events and I report any that I see. I often revisit areas that I have noticed botting in before, just to report the new ones. One area had 12 bots in it at week ago and then suddenly there was only one. Hopefully Anet will continue to be diligent, because I will continue to play the part of Bot Police.
Bots? Who cares…really?

I farm the bots. They die and I res them over and over. Great for my no one left behind title.

Any and everyone who cares about the health of the games economy and trade market.
bots can ruin events.
sometimes a game stop being a game, when money
is involved.
ridiculous :/
If you play the game, harvest for mats and take care of your own business, bots have no meaning outside of personal annoyance to some. They are Anets problem…not mine.
I could give fat rats patootie about bots.

Apparently being clueless is the in thing?
Bots and the associated affects they bring to the economy are indeed detrimental.
No…apparently being concerned about something you have absolutely no control over other than endless whining is the in thing.

I care, I report these little kittens every time. Ya there doing the flash tele from mob to mob. The people who don’t care are either bot-ting or don’t understand the impact bots have in the Trading Post(economy).
I’m sure we’ll be seeing thousands of people banned soon. From bots to who ever the bots send items and gold to. IE: the main character that hold the gold from all the bots.
I’m on Yak’s Bend and there are 7 bots that are in cursed shore all the time. There their 24/7. I have run into countless bots. Every area I go into I see bots so when I do BAM I report them.
Hopefully we see ANet banning them soon.
I’ve also heard a lot of stories of people “teleporting” around. Sounds like they are messing with packet editors. I hope Arenanet does something to stop it.
Every bot is another paid for account, funding the dev’s, fuelling new features, financing the support team and paying for the site, forums and wiki resources.
Sure, they’re an annoyance, and the spam is unpleasant, but they’ll get banned soon enough, pick up another acc and through the money they plough into a-net probably do some good things for the game long term. They aren’t so parasitical as all that
Just report them and move on, and smile inwardly at the fact that they’re inadvertently funding their own destruction.

Feel free not to post in this thread then. Whining about whining is pretty much the same.
I have reported a ton in the last 3 days alone.. It’s got to the point that it’s out of control.
Per AN..

Botting and exploits
It is our policy to permanently ban accounts engaged in botting and exploits, and we’re ramping up to do that.

In the game’s log in screen should be a message: “Do Not Resurrect Anyone Lying Dead in Their Underwear”.
I kid. But barely.

Actually this is a common misconception – you assume botters acquire their accounts through legitimate means, when most of the time they don’t.
Most of the bots you see right now operate on accounts that were stolen from legitimate players – these bots are only costing Arenanet money, because not only do Anet have to spend time and resources on banning the bots, they also have to spend time restoring the stolen accounts to their rightful owners.
Even in the cases where the botters do operate on newly-purchased accounts, they are often purchased with stolen (or otherwise expendable) CC details, which means while Anet may initially receive payment for these accounts, they often lose the money again due to chargebacks. Even if the payment was legitimate, once an account is already banned for RMT-related activites there’s very little reason not to do a chargeback to recoup the money – what could Anet do? Ban the account again?
@Arsenal: Reviving people until they only have their underwear left is what you should be doing, though. Grief a bot – revive it. Again and again. Or why not give it a gift axe if you’re an elementalist? Others have told stories of sending bots off cliffs that way :)

Huh? You want an inflated economy? You want an economy you can’t compete in?
pull mob on those bot = solution.
