So many bugs with March 16th patch
There must have been a ton of background changes… I just don’t understand how they could break so many different things with such a small patch…
Cant you see we’re getting fixes daily? I understand an outrage, I am disappointed iwth this game more and more because of this but come on they are fixing it.
IF you are already reporting bugs, what is the purpose of this thread?

The patch looks small, but there have been very sensible changes to important systems of the game. Quite sad reading all the ragey comments/good-bye threads, despite fixing many bugs thus far. ANet office must be heated right now.
@Folks, this is just a “I’m worried” thread. Chill out.
And why are you upset about this personaly?
The update included quite a bit of HoT beta stuff, which might be the reason for much of the bugs. They are working quite swiftly though, with daily fixes and should be more or less done within a week, unless something is really elusive.

There is that plus testing the beta stuff out does not mean that every possible error would be cleaned away. To be honest, I think this can be minimized even further if there were PTRs for such updates and patches a few days before the official release. But then again, if there were PTRs, depending on feedback it could delay the release together.
I fear many players will leave the game because a large amount of the playerbase is so mad right now. I’m reporting bugs as I find, I wish I could help more. :/
Whoever leaves the game because of 2-3 days with some mostly cosmetical bugs
will either come back if he encounters the reality in other MMOs, or has never
really been a fan of this game .. or is maybe totally wrong in the MMO genre.
The only really bad thing was the guildchat problem .. but the fix also fixed a problem
that already annoyed me since the start of the game : no longer guildchat wipe
when you relog.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

Yeah, that was a plus indeed! I hope they fix teleporting skills and damaging conditions as soon as possible. Combat-related bugs are critical IMO.
Not to mention there are plenty of events in the open-world that are bugged out to the point that it either takes an hour to do them or they are completely kittened…
And all that’s keeping me from my next legendary is map completion at the moment, which is why I’m personally a little tweaked (it will probably take months to fix these things too going off past experience with these open-world bugs.)
The whole ‘invalid path’ thing is ridiculous honestly. Before the patch you couldn’t Lightning Flash to half of the places that you put it anyhow and it would go on CD without moving you. Now it’s just as bad on Guardian/Thief/Mesmer, half of the time because of some minor dip in the ground. But you can still Infiltrator’s Arrow up to a lot of the same kitten, so it’s like they just broke teleporting completely without fixing anything except for Shadowstepping back through walls. My whole guild is pretty annoyed by this, but we’re waiting to see when/how Anet fixes this.
movement is one of the coolest things in gw2 and I hope it’s fixed soon
These bugs have been affecting many parts of the game. Shadowstepping/teleporting skills are unstable, Mesmer’s Blink isn’t working properly, Thaumanova Reactor fractal maze turrets aren’t firing projectiles at all… many account-bound items not stacking… player dialogues still all over the place… damaging conditions not behaving correctly (0 Condi. Damage spiking stupid damage output, while regular Condi. Damage is having its damage halved/greatly reduced)…
ArenaNet has always had issues with Q&A. The amazing thing is that they even delayed this patch because it was too broken, and even then the result is as bad as what we got.
I suggest people to not pre-order or buy HoT when it’s released, but rather wait a few months so ArenaNet can reduce a bit the major bugs.

It will be kinda disappointing if we get these many bugs when HoT launches, but I guess this patch served as a find ’n fix predicting future bugs related to movement.
While what we got out of the patch was small I bet the list of internal changes is long enough to go around the globe a few times.
Without a doubt this was a tech patch. A patch that implements new code and technologies in preparation for a big content release that will use them(Heart of thorns). This kind of patch will have issues game wide as nearly every element of the game will have some change or edit to it.
However once these issues are fixed and put in their place the game should be much better.
This patch wasnt small. There are beta files inside of it.
2 days in guild systems were fixed. To be honest that is good enough for me for the game to not feel as broken. Lots of fixes in total in the last few days. If they’re continue going like this, it should be completely fine in a week. I do appreciate the speed that they’re working at to fix it all

Ditto.
