I’m very disapointed to see the next update coming on april the 18th…Does it means no update for a month?

I’ve been playing since the beginning of gw2 and it’s breaking my heart to see that all my guildies are quitting the game because they would like more pve content.. :’(

I really hope an update will come on april 1st..

Ahh.. MMO. Where everyone complains about everything on each decision the developers make.

And I guess we will still get 1 update every 2 weeks. But the “big feature patch” will be at 18th.

edit: I don’t believe they will leave Lion’s Arch destroyed like it is now. Else so many parts of the personal story would be unconsistent.

WvW season 2 comes next Friday.

Then the feature update in April like you say.

Its the 15th April btw. Don’t know where you saw the 18th.

And what a useless complain. It was 1 update per month at the beginning of the game. They switched to 1 update each 2 weeks, but people complained that it was too little content so they will get back to 1 per month.

Where has it been said they’re moving back to 1 update per month?

Also, the next patch would be on April 1st. We will very, very likely get a patch of some kind, but it will be a surprise.

Ah, I remember back in the days when MMOs got updates once every third month or something like that at most. And that was when people paid monthly for them. And yet people didn’t really complain about the lack of updates.

He said nothing about 1st April though.
How would this, what he said, prevent a mini update with SAB on April 1st ? It’s still definitely possible

Actually kind of exciting to watch and wait. Will we get more of the map revealed? New areas to explore? new personal story? If you haven’t worked anywhere before: Imagine working as a dev keeping up with 2 week deadlines for the living story which they have to deliver everytime. I appreciate their work in building new content every 2 weeks for a game we don’t pay subscription fees for.

As opposed to giving them nothing, where they will instead whine a lot and complain a lot, and then become very quite and very still.

The difference was that those ‘paid MMOs with updates every three months’ at least had content, I mean dungeons, new maps, quests or new factions etc.

This is a feature update not a content update just so you are not disappointed on April 15th no new areas. I think what’s confusing people is they announced new ways to explore. This could mean a lot of things like maybe a hard mode. It doesn’t mean new areas to explore. Sorry no new areas, no new dungeons, no new living story.

In GW1 April Fools Day was always something refreshingly quirky to look forward to.

• and I recall once our character size was switched with the size of our Minis
• also think there was a gender swap at one point too

It was not a big deal, just a bit of ‘foolish’ humor.

I was thinking they were going to turn us ALL into Quaggans but then I remembered that Quaggans can’t jump… wheew dodged that bullet!

First there were monthly patches. Then Anet said for the living story they were moving to two week patches. Then they said, very clearly, that the living story would go till March 4 and after that there would be a break before the next season began. They also said there would be a feature only patch at the end of that break.

They’re only taking the break they said they’d be taking.

Don’t get me wrong. I would be so happy if they give us SAB on April 1st. Tribulation mode with my friend was the best time i ever had in GW2. We laugh so hard that we had tears in our eyes for hours.

But i just don’t think there will be any update, except maybe some bugs fixes.

So here Colin is saying that they will end Living World Season 1 and then wait a bit and then the big feature update. Now you can say, ya but he said that March 4th was the end of the living story, but they gave us a update on March 18th so why not give us another update on April 1st? Well you see that ‘’Living World Season One’’ and ‘’on 4th March’’ were added by the interviewer. The real quote i ‘’When it ends, we’re going to take a break for a little bit…’’

’’It’’ really meant for the Living World Season One. But the date of march 4th was from the interviewer and not from colin.

Again maybe they will gave us a update on April 1st. It’s alway nice to have more stuff. But i don’t think so. Maybe some bug fixes or maybe some joke for the April 1st. But i really don’t think there will be any content at all.

April 1 will likely be super adventure box.

Yeap! It’s the second year of GW2 and we have the same dungeons, no raids, no new maps or professions…. :\ WoW didn’t need an update per month because it was full of achievements to deals with! But here i am asking myself what’s the point of crafting a new legendary or a new ascended gear if i quit the game because there is nobody to play with.. :‘(
What’s the point of farming mats or gold with no new epic goals! I guess my heroic journey is almost over and i feel sad :’(

The last MMO I spent a lot of time in was EverQuest 2 and they only released an update, in the form of an expansion that you had to purchase, once per year which everybody was happy with. Society is becoming so entitled…. it’s sickening.

Did anybody else notice that there is a gap in the timeline for blog posts regarding the feature pack? They don’t have any blog posts scheduled for 3/31 or 4/1…. maybe that’s because they’ll have something else going on.

On most mmo’s you have to wait months, sometimes more than a year, for an expansion.
This is nothing.

And when they finally introduce new content, even if it’s a massive amount of permanent content, this people will smoke it in 1-2 days, complain everything is a grindfest not worth of his time and how much they hate to do things and then they will start complaining about the lack of new content.

Good thing ArenaNet love that kind of people and are willing to provide them with quality content like the LS while the rest of the permanent content is falling apart -_-

I know that a VERY small percentage of the people who play GW2 actually read the forums and then a very small percentage of those people actually post on the forums. With that said, it seems the majority of the people who do post on the forums have nothing good to say about the game…. SO WHY ARE THEY PLAYING IT?!? Go find a different game to play if you don’t like this one and stop being toxic and unhelpful on these forums! If ANet isn’t living up to your expectations, then leave, nobody will miss you, including ANet.

I, for one, am kind of happy with a break. It will give me time to do some of the other things that I have put off because of doing the LS.

But, I do think we’ll see some sort of silliness for April 1st. I’m up for that.

That’s too bad for you, I suppose. Just as the WvW tournament is about to start, major feature changes are coming, and a new dragon awakened. Nothing epic to do at all!

Dag you’re right all that content was awesome but i guess i’m just a bit bored with the game :\
I tried pvp yesterday and liked it. So maybe it should keep me waiting until next pve patch
