I remember all the promises of additional tools akin to WoW’s armory and mobile armory being available on website and for applications for android and other popular systems.

Since release that has been over half a year ago we have not heard a single word about it.

There was supposed to be seperate team for WWW and such feature that would not affect other game features developments.

So ?

Their mobility app is on hold at this time. They moved the team working on that to work on making fixes for the game. That was the right decision to make. So it is still on their list of things to do, but there are far more important things to do first.

It would be cool to start getting armory with gear/achievements, forum avatars etc.
Makes things a bit more competitive and get players to want to have their armory completed.

no no no. That is a very good way to turn these forums into crap. it turns almost every conversation into armory trolling. No good can come from it, and WoW forums are proof of this.

What you call “armory trolling” is simply giving credit to a person based on what he actually did instead of what he can troll up.

No, I have seen more often then not, someone making a very good post that is very valid, but people would constantly troll his post because of his armory. WoW forums are a cesspool compared to any other MMO forums, because of the linking of forums with in game character. It didn’t matter what the person was saying, or how valid it was, character linking was the deciding factor.

Actually it’s the opposite, armory ruined WoW forums worse than they already were to begin with. It’s right up there with Gearscore for bad ideas in video games 101.

How do you move someone who is proficient at web coding and design and not on game coding? Mainly thinking here about that woman lead responsible for it.

All I know is that Colin said that the project is on hold because they moved the team over to help make fixes/improvements in the game.
