So when you guys going to optimise GW2?
You could have saved yourself a lot of time by saying the generic “It’s your PC, not the game”, it would have had the same effect.
As you could as well by replying to this topic with “I have a problem, so everyone else must, who I am also going to speak for and it’s completely Anets fault. No way it could ever be anything else”
Yeah, because I’m definitely the only person that has performance issues due to the dated engine. It’s not like it affects everyone or anything. Just me.
Yeah, just like I and every single person must have the same problems because you and some other people do. Forgot that ‘some’ means absolutely everyone.
I live in hope.
It is running slightly less badly than it was a week or so ago, though, so I guess that’s something.
BTW, are some of the people on this thread paid by ANet?
If not, they should be.
they dont work for anet. they just dont understand how optimization works and what it could do for them.
i guess they enjoy playing with 40 fps when they could play at double the frame rate.
The thing is, they’re used to 20 – 30fps, so they think that’s as good as it gets, and as anyone with a good rig will tell you, that’s laughable. They don’t seem to understand that many people invest in their hobby so they can maintain the holy grail of 60fps, and when a game doesn’t allow that we want to know why. I’ve been entertaining such people, but honestly I shouldn’t, they will never understand and all it will do is give me a headache trying to make them. They’re the same people who think it’s acceptable to pay £50 for a console game that can’t maintain a locked frame rate.
calling for a lock on this topic because one person can;t be respectful
The reason you’re lagging in huge player environments is because the game only runs on one core.
ssssh. we’ll tell you a secret. x9 supports multi threading by a simple flag. just not that good in it’s time. now you know what to tell others. :P enjoy.
i get 60 fps in zergs with my modest amd athalon @ 3.7 system, game is gorgeous. that’s pretty kitten good for any mmorpg.
