Social Play Improvements - guild chat
I absolutely second this proposal.
The whole concept of multiple guild representation in gw2 is really good: it allows a person to belong to a small, RL friend guild; to a big, cross-server guild dedicated to massive events; to an average, server-based guild for guild events and local events; and so on. BUT the current system, as it is, allows no easy way to socially and actively participate in all these guilds. This really is a bummer, and greatly nullifies the potentials of the multi-guild system. Communication is the key for the guild, and the current chat system is a stop to the potentials of the system.
I don’t really have much to add except to say that I agree. At the moment, being in multiple guilds really isn’t all that different to just regularly joining and leaving guilds in any other game. It’d be great if I still had access to some part of a guild (like guild chat) even while I’m not representing. Otherwise, there’s no real point to having multiple guilds.
(Hey, maybe this’ll be part of the “Facilitating Friendly Play” announcements. I can dream)
The whole multipe Guild system is a fail…. It destroys freidship (speaking of own experience)! The Alliance systen in GW1 was actually much better. With Alliances, no one can be mad because u’re not representing their Guild, as like today…
