Solo level 80 things to do ?
Meta events, gathering mats, killing mobs in Orr, champ trains in Frostgorge, crafting to 500, helping low level players, dailies, monthlies, LS content, PS content, grinding for armor or weapons, basically the same things you do at levels below 80, some of us find that WvW and PvP are better with seasoned toons that have put their time in PvE and mastered their professions although that’s not really a necessity.
Some people work on different builds by redistributing the traits and trying different weapons & armors, and of course there are those that just stand around in LA.
Honestly, the game runs out of solo content once you get to 80.
Meta event chains, champ train, living story, wvw/spvp all require other people to be successful. Pretty much what you can do at 80 as a solo is the same thing you could do at 10 as a solo, there’s nothing new that opens up to you.
If you have 100% map completion or even 90+% map completion with wvw maps left and have completed your personal story up to Arah, you’re done with what the game has to offer a solo. Congratulations!

You can solo most dungeon paths that dont have a party req (like cof1 gate). Obviously some are way harder then others.
hard enough to make them cry, not just rivers but oceans."
What others said. I run a few dungeons, collected mats, did meta chains, tried the champ trains. This becomes repetitive after a while but basically that’s it. It’s not as solo friendly as GW1 was. Concepts don’t work in practice always as they were imagined. You can explore and revisit locations you like. I for one like to walk(yes, I use that feature) through cities/maps and listen to NPC conversation and other things.
Roam in the borderlands.

No argument intended, but GW1 was not initially solo friendly at all-way, way less than this game, actually-until the addition of heroes (many years ahead), and even then after some work unlocking their skills and gearing them up. It was part of the initial game philosophy that players played together, whereas here, from the beginning it has been more or less optional (including at level 80, though I admit the game can be more fun with others.)
(On a slightly related matter, I do remember that a NPC Scout North of Straits of Devastation clearly states that the content thereafter-the beginning of Orr-is much more accessible with a group. People complained about enemy CC and “difficulty” of Orr at the beginning, but really it was originally designed to BE “difficult” if playing solo.)
Even with heroes, not all party builds on GW1 allowed for ultimate success on every area, as some could be really challenging. You couldn’t just mindlessly throw a hero party and expect success unless it involved a well thought out party strategy (or copied someone else’s build, as many usually do.)
However, yes, there’s SO MUCH content to enjoy that many people are missing out by rushing things and caring only about so-called endgame. SO MUCH detail on most PvE maps (beautiful or just well done), with interesting, witty dialogue everywhere, much work have been put into this game that many players sadly don’t care about (I feel bad about their creators, really-if any of them is reading, thanks for all the tiny but detailed, fun bits on each map, hearts, and dynamic events.)
Appreciate the replies. Thanks.
