Alright imma tell u a nice story lmao. Today arah p2 with a 2 random dudes
from the same guild . One of them has a legendary twilight and dual axe , the other one has the same build just not the skins. So me : being mostly a pvper or sometimes
roaming in wvw and doing few daily paths a day like 2-3 and i was randomly there
with them in arah p2. and i was using axe/shield because i bought a cool shield skin
for wvw roaming , so the dude with the twilight tryed to say wtf use off hand axe or kick. Then i was like lol… dual axe and GS. I told him if he is trying to be a pure elitist
he should use axe/mace+LB(for the firefield) and then he called me a noob because
he thinks that hunder blades does more damage than axe autotatack. So myselef
who takes low levels to dungeons i really couldnt care less whats your class or weapon set
But for the Elitists out there let me repeat . Axe/Mace + LB for the firefield does more damage than Hunder blades? Do you understand that kids so you please if you are trying to be something do it right. Its just hilarious to see fail people like this.

Axe/mace can pair with LB or GS, depending on the fight. In a PUG with someone I don’t know I’d rather him just have the hundred blades DPS rather than putting down a fire field that no one’s prepared to blast.

LB is only good before you get into combat, to place a fire field. Once you’ve used your blast finisher, you swap it off for GS so that you can do a rotation between Axe AA and 100b.
Im not an elits lol why i would be if i like to use my wvw setup in dungeons jus
for lolz? because i jus do the daily paths for that 4g a day maybe then back to roaming
or pvp. PvE is not exiting at all i already know what will happen my group will be
full of warrios and guardian and mesmer , they will bark at each other because some1 died or dosent has the right set then there will probably be a kick or more nerd rage.
I wish arenanet could buff the other classes its getting riduclous this war/guard/mes meta. In gw1 i rembmer we actually needed a brage ranger cuz it has crazy dps.
Myself as a warrior i want this garbage to stop hunder blades should be reworked so it could be a pvp weapon like whirling wrath and the other classes should have more acces to group fury/might it could solve the problem

How else do they skip all those mobs in there without two speed boosts
a t s e, you were being an elitist the moment you claimed to know a better weapon build than another. The guy was an elitist by asking you to change weaps for DPS reasons. (there are other logical recommendations which aren’t elitist comments, for example, asking a guard to use a staff in TA, or run focus as an ele in specific bosses/dungeonsetc).
In the end, you both as you say “fail” since either weapon is viable and has perfect reasons to be used.
Actually, GS offers more DPS than Axe Mace due to Might stacking.
Axe Mace is only better for Mobile-DPS or if your team can’t stack Vuln properly already.
That being said though, Axe Mace is totally fine to use in dungeons.
Hell, anything is. No dungeon REQUIRES you to… anything, really.

If you don’t care, then why bother with the fire field? I don’t play LH Eles or blast-finish Engies, because mastering their kittened up rotations is more work than PvE is worth. Unlike them, the Warrior has other options, like proccing might off the GS, that are simpler to use.

With the right traits you can stack a fair bit of might without taking any damage for a time. Nice and versatile. Axe/axe just does not have the same shine that it used to.
Specific circumstances aside, a few rules of thumb to go by in MMOs are these:
A player who thinks they are good are not always good.
A player who says they are good are not always good.
A player be OCPD over stuff in game while being hypocritical.
A player can be OCPD over stuff in the game while being wrong about it.

i might be a trollxors 3l1t1zt for you but in fact GS is a WAAAAAYYY better weapon at PUG dungeons than LB.
how many fire fields have been there and not a single Blast finisher going around i end up stacking just 6 -9 might with f1-3-FGJ and if if for the lulz u add stomp u get 9 but…

GS traited for might on crit can give you up to 14+ and if you have battle sigil you can get about 16-19 every rotation.
i mantain 16-19 might stacks with every rotation without being dependant on anyone else.

Open world PvE, doesn’t matter. PvP, WvW, Dungeons, darn straight you should be using proper gear or you’re just being a drain on your team, zerg or party.
