Someone needs to give them the new definition of the word, “Disappointment”

Should read:

Disappointment – Guild Wars 2 Achievement Chests

Or they should at least just put it as an example.

These achievement chests are worse than the random loot bags you get.

Am I missing something or are these chests supposed to be complete and total let downs? The 1 gold for reaching the achievement is fine. The global account karma/gold/whatever increase is fine. But the chest is like an insult almost.

Please someone tell me that final Achievement Chest is worth the effort.

I dont think he’s farming for it,you get these chests with regular play.I do have to agree i recently hit the 13.5k mark and i got 1 laurel and 2g…That’s laughable really..not even talking about the chest reward.

There used to be no rewards for ap. The ones you get every 5k are nice.

They were much better when we received PvP skins in them. I haven’t even opened my last three. They’re just sitting in my vault.

It is disappointing now, when it was released it seemed quite nice.
New skins that you could apply for free, pvp skins and wvw badges from all your pve efforts , free gold, gems and laurels, also when it was released many players already had a lot of APs so in a matter of weeks people got tons of rewards from no where.
The problem is that the economy inflated, better rewards is easily obtained and the AP chests keep the same.

I often forget there are achievement rewards.

And when it was released, each chest had a handful of PvP skins in them, as mentioned above. That lack could’ve been filled with a couple of transmute charges or something, but it was just brushed aside as a relic of the past.

You got something essentially for free, and you think it’s an insult… in a video game, no less! So, what exactly is it you think you deserve in your occasional reward you get just for playing the game?

The chests were really good before they removed random skins from them. You used to be able to get unique dungeon, PvP and other skins from the chests without having to have had complete the relevant content. In some cases, this was the only way to actually get the skin if you weren’t able to complete that content.

This. It would be nice if they had added some sort of item that awarded like..1-2 random skins when opened(Double click to unlock type thing). And if you had the skin already, oh well!

Meh. They’re not that bad, like a small bonus, I doubt many pursue achievements for the chests

Final? There is no ‘final’ chest. We’ll keep getting them until the game is shut down.

Basically, they are meant to be minor rewards for loyalty; they aren’t intended to be awesome or game changing. Still, you get +gold/magic find, free coin, free karma, free boosters, and occasionally free gems.

If you find that stuff disappointing, delete the chests.

I agree. I think it was much better when we got nothing at all for our achievement points.

Their contents have been known for months. You’ve waited this long to be disappointed?

At least they’re not as bad az Spvp rank up chest currently.
