I’ve double clicked it to retirement getting to 100% magic find :P Not even gamer mice can stand the might of GW2 apparently

On a more serious note: I’d like to get the community’s opinion on Magic Find since now we’re spending so much click time and monies on raising it:

Should Anet now allow Magic Find to affect chests, mystic fountain, salvaging, containers etc too? I have a feeling my index finger has earned it.

Realistically, MF is not that important. Why? It has an effect within a given loot system and really has no significance on it’s own. What is important is the tuning of the loot system. We play games to feel rewarded (in or near the genre, intrinsically and extrinsically). If we don’t feel rewarded it’s not a problem with MF; it’s a problem with the loot system. I would prefer that Anet focus it’s time and attention on the reward systems overall. Their goal should be to walk the razors edge which honors an economy but produces a sense of reward in players. My best wishes to them.

Ya I am thinking my gaming mouse is going out too. I really need to remember to bind it to something else when I am salvaging but…… Takes too much time. Apparently there is a accessibility option in windows that allows you to use your numpad as a mouse that can be enabled via a key combination. Need to remember what that is.

Key combination to turn it on is ALT + Left Shift + Num Lock. Need to check the box in the accessibility center first for it.

That actually would be once key per once action. Due to they way keyboards work when you hold down a key it repeats the up and down of the key.

And anzenketh.3759 is right – you can use accessibility option to define numlock as a mouse control. + is double click so you can hold it till drank 100000 points.

We really really really need a ‘use all’ option for stacks. This doubleclick…doubleclick…doubleclick till your finger falls off nonsense is getting very old very fast.

I find it amusing that before this update most people spent most of their time playing with little/no magic find and now as soon as you don’t need to sacrifice other stats for it people are acting like you need to get 100% as soon as possible in any way it takes.

Personally I’m playing with 23% because that’s what I’ve gotten so far (since the update I’ve mainly been playing SAB) and I think it’s the highest I’ve ever had outside of the Secret of Southsun event when everyone got a 200% bonus.
