This will probably be ignored, but I thought I’d make a suggestion anyhow. So around this time last year we we’re subjected to Scarlet’s attack in Lonars Pass. So with how barren Wintersday has become, and I am fully aware that the festivals are designed to be re-used over and over as just a short event to do between Living Story updates and the various other real world holidays.

Anyhow, back on topics, so as we had the Marionette to play with last year, my suggestion would be to bring back a form of the Marionette as a form of raid type Wintersday event. There’s been a lot of hate towards this Wintersday, and I can see why. There’s very little to do outside the four activities.

I personally don’t hate Wintersday, or any of the other events, but I’m not going to grind through the giant presents to get a Ho-Ho-Tron when they’re dropping in price daily already. As to be fair, that’s all I’m after. Though the salvageable items for fabric is also nice. As well as a touch of luck thrown in here or there.

Marionette wasn’t during wintersday though. It hit in January with Origins of Madness, as the update following wintersday 2013

I may have got the time frame wrong, they were just so close together. But I still think it would make for a fun Wintersday event due to where it was held. Going from one snowy filled Lion’s Arch to a snow filled area kept the festive feel to me.

Either way I doubt it will happen, but I feel it might be a fun thing to add as something to do outside what there is. It’s a shame they didn’t add a bit more to this years event. Doesn’t have to be much, but it’s going to get stale with a lot of people really fast. I’ve already noticed the huge drop in population in DR within the past 24 hours as people have realized it’s a bit empty.
