Blaming the condition because you have your #1 on auto?

Solution: turn it off. Also, cleanse.

Rangers have no cleanse skill.

It’s extremely advice-able not to use auto attack, this is probably in PvE.
But, using auto attack in any way in PvP is just not the way you’re supposed to play.

For PvE i’d say;
Just, toggle it off and on by pressing and holding CTRL + Right click.
If you know any confusion would be present you can easily disable it just for that and re-enable it in an area without confusion.

Someone already stated it, but if you are auto attacking one keystroke over Escape will disable any attack currently being performed.

edit;

This would work on any thing like 100B aswel, with a build up.

I wonder if it would be too hard for ANet to replace the togglable autoattack with the ability to hold down a skill key to continue using said skill out of recharge.

I was under the impression that confusion triggers upon skill use, not every hit. Surely confusion would only hit a Warrior once when they use Hundred Blades right? Did they change that?

In which case, that would actually be one of the better ways to deal with it as it hits quite a lot and only costs one hit of confusion.

You’re under the right impression, it doesn’t work on hit, it’s on skill,trait,sigil proc.

The only time you’d cancel 100b would probably be when you get kitten on by retaliation.

But, just saying.

@Mungrul that skill point with that Mesmer that clones herself and has all the birds? Dethra I think? Was a very tough fight but managed her solo. Confusion constantly and other conditions it was nasty lol..

Nah, it’s actually a turret firing bolts that cause confusion. It’s right next to “Sharn’s Free Camp” on the map, south of “The Promenade of the Gods”.

I just spent 462000 karma on rabid gear, if they nerf confusion I’m gonna quit playing.

/w: what they should change is how conditions arw displayed. The bar changes so quickly that it’s really hard to see what’s going on.

I’m sorry, what?

Rant mode on:

It makes me wonder if these people ever bother to actually read their skills. No joke, I’ve had similar conversations, such as:

“Necromancers don’t have access to swiftness.”

“Necromancers/Rangers don’t have stability”

“x doesn’t have y.”

About the only thing I’ve seen that is true is “Thieves don’t have hard revival skills,” but 1) nobody uses those anyway, an 2) Shadow Refuge is far better and allows for easy revival the “hard way.”

Seriously, people need to learn to read their skills thoroughly.

What’s really funny? Things like stun, knockback, Daze, etc, literally stop you from playing almost completely for a couple seconds. Meanwhile unless someone has a seriously dedicate confusion build, it just DAMAGES you for doing stuff for a few seconds, as opposed to shutting you down completely.

And there are plenty of ways to wash off conditions. Just take one effing condition removal skill, and wash the thing off. Heck, there are a couple of skills that flat out remove multiple or all conditions, or change them to boons, or tranfer them to foes, or….

Lots of options. Just explore them.

God no wonder confusion is being complained about, you people don’t even know how your own classes work
