So, after playing this game since launch, It seems like these gold spammers are comming more and more.
Upon logging in today, I was greated to 7 unread messages of gold spammers offering me gold, and no matter what I do, report them or not, they still keep popping up.

Is there no way to have more legitimate GMs playing on the servers to ban these guys?

All this happened in a span of less than 30 seconds.
Something really needs to be done.

Could someone please explain how to report these mail spams?

There’s a report button on the mail when you read it. It doesn’t seem to appear in the picture the OP posted, which must mean he’s already used the report function for that particular mail.

I stopped reporting them, since it appears that it does not do any good. So far been blocking them. Current number of gold spammers in my blocked list now exceeds 50 names…

Frankly am getting tired of the crap and getting to the point where just might delete all my toons and uninstall the game and put ArenaNet on the Gamer’s Blacklist.

I’ve learned that the only real way to play this game is to:
do the following.

1) “block” (right click on name and click block) the player
2) turn off chat entirely
3) play the game solo

There were some games that did away with these quite good.
I don’t believe gold spammers are behind a PC spamming, I think it’s a bot.
So they could implement a system where if enough players report the spammer, he has to type in a capcha or he can’t chat – account wide block.

Alternatively, I also don’t think that it would be difficult to get some GM on each server to ban the players for such actions. It’s not hard.
A full IP ban would be nice.

ArenaNet, if you read this, could you please update us on (if) you are looking for possible solutions?

I don’t even know why they waste their time trying to sell gold on a game that already has an option to buy gold via the gem market……it’s like you’re market for gold buyers must be at an all time high on this game buddy.
