I don’t know if this will have any real effect on anything, but it’s just a thought that occurred to me while perusing the forums.

Does it seem to anyone else that the majority of complaints against GW2 are precisely the same reasons everyone was for GW2 initially? What I mean is that players are complaining because GW2 does not have the trinity class style, mounts, raids, etc. Isn’t the “old” style of MMO the very reason why we wanted GW2 in the first place? I keep getting the impression that people are really asking for ANet to make GW2 exactly like the old MMOs – they just don’t realize that that is precisely what they’re asking for.

Again, just something to consider. This isn’t meant as a “whine about the whines” thread; it’s just meant as a thread for people to consider the ramifications if ANet were to implement every complaint that has been made so far. “Take it to its full-drawn conclusion,” so to speak.

People don’t know what they want.
They can’t move from the mindset they’re stuck in.

I think people know what they want and I do think GW2 is it, they just didn’t realize it would take some time to learn a new type of game. It’s the typical impatient gamer. I don’t think it will have any impact on the game. Those players will stop complaining later on when more things are figured out and they can just go read a guide on how to do dungeons, how to spec their character, etc. They want to have fun doing something different but they don’t want to put in the time required to learn new things, so they’ll complain until someone else does it for them.
