…once you’ve played GW2.

I wonder if you’ve also come upon songs where several words have another meaning for you because of the terminology or lore of Guild Wars 2 that you got used to, and the whole song starts to sound different.

I often think of Led Zeppelin’s Immigrant Song in the Norn territories. Not a perfect fit, but some of it fits GW2 pretty well:

I whistled for a pug and when it came near
The run description said Zerk and it had AP8000+ in the name
If anything I could say that this pug was not rare
But I thought ‘Nah, forget it’ – ‘Yo, homes to Citadel of Flame’

I pulled up to the dungeon about 7 or 8 thousand times
And I yelled to the necro ‘Yo homes smell ya later’
I looked at my Legendary
Unicorns through the air
To sit on my throne as the fabulous Princess of Guild Cares

A song fit for Frostgorge Sound.

Fate of the norns – By Amon Amarth
The name of the song itself changed the meaning for me.

I like to mix the music from all of these games together. I know there’s no words in them but they do keep me bouncing back and forth between GW games and TES games on a nonstop nostalgia train.
