This is bad? If you wanted a full game, you could have waited through a single loading screen and a new one would have started.

Oh, man, I’d’ve loved for that to happen to me. I actually had to play Southsun Survivor yesterday for the daily. =P

Not that I play it to win. I just see if I can starve to death and kill people. It’s a much better attitude to have than actually trying to win.

Mine was this morning. I just find it incredibly odd that it happens that way. I think every other mini-game somehow progresses, even if you are the only person there, no? Or I guess the barrel game wouldn’t work with one, but like the race, you can do that alone?

Don’t get me wrong, I gladly accepted my gold star and moved on. It was just odd.

and upon arriving, I floated around for 3 minutes as ball of fog, and then the match was over, I got my daily. Wtf… meh, exits.
I think I’ve only played S.S.S 3 times since GW2 has been out.

Being that ball of light is one of the most fun parts of South Sun Survival. You can pick up energy by running over the energy orbs and use it to set traps for those still living. There’s achievements for doing that as well if you’re into that sort of thing, but it’s massively fun to charge up, find a player and lay traps for them, then watch them fall into those traps.

Yeah, really not a fan of it as an activity so I would gladly take a fast game. Sprint is much more fun even if I never get close to winning.

Sprint is pretty easy to win but it does involve a little bit of luck. If you can get an aspect master boost out of the first 2 or 3 power ups out of the gate and be the first one to get to the power up that drops a fake (that knocks back others) you can cruise to a win. At that point you are out front and every offensive power up will give you more fakes and you can just spam them in areas where people can’t avoid them like some of the platforms. Even if the player behind you has the grounded skill that can avoid the fake they don’t get enough to avoid all your fake spams. The winner of sprint is usually decided in the first 15 seconds or so of the race due to what I explained.

I had this happen yesterday for the daily. Took maybe 15 seconds before the match was over after I joined.

And honestly, I was thrilled about it. I hate Southsun Survival. The entire game seems stacked against you actually trying to survive, what with the trapped food bushes that insta-kill you if you aren’t near full health (heaven forbid you try to actually get food to survive!) and the fact that everyone starts on top of each other meaning you’re lucky if you can escape the starting area without getting shot in the head. The less I have to actually play it, the better.

I normally try to farm them teleport power-ups as I run. I normally know what to pick up, but I fail at races, and end up falling off ledges, flailing around like a nub. Closest I got was 3rd.

My current goal for Southsun Survival is still to summon a Karka on someone. Almost got there yesterday but I ran out of time.

Yes, that is exactly the point of the game

Every time I go into Southsun Survivor, I have to spend several minutes as a mote, which is what I am the minute I enter the game.
