Q:

As probably the last player still interested in Southsun Survival, I doubt I’ll find anyone to test this with me, but it’s possible for a person who is alone in their instance to live to the end of the 15-minute time limit. There’s no point other than bragging rights, since they’ll win as soon as they die, and there’s no hidden achievement or anything (heh…I’d happily bear a “Waster of 15 Minutes” title or something), but it is doable.

What I’m dying to know is: what if two people manage to live all 15 minutes in the same instance? Do they both get the win? Does the game randomly pick one as the winner? Is there special secret dialogue that no player has ever seen, just in case this ever happens? (Hey, I can dream.) I ask cause I figure someone out there’s gotta know; at the very least, whoever programmed the game, but if anyone’s done it, do say so.

Lore fanatic, achievement hound, map completionist, PvEer, filthy casual.

This actually wouldn’t be as hard as you make it out. All you’d need is for two people to gather up a ton of food and then go hide somewhere not really accessible.

I’ve been in several maps where there are 2+ survivors at the end. The one with the higher score (just before the timer expires) gets the win, which is why it’s useful to get an early kill if you can.

If I recalled correctly all survivors get the +50 bonus score for surviving.

I don’t know what would happen if both players had exactly the same score from other sources (scavenging, hitting, killing, trapping). Of all the cases I noticed, one player always had more points.

Mind you, it’s very uncommon: both players have to bring plenty of food, find a good hiding spot, and not be caught by anyone else. I’ve never seen two make it to the end where both were running from the dead or each other. (I think I’ve seen about 4 cases, maybe 6.)

haha, yeah, I’ve never had the experience of being on a map where someone else applies the strategy of winners: gather food, run the heck away from everyone, and wait for the dot to kill everyone else.

Gets me first place every time it’s the daily.
