Guild Wars 2

I knowe there are several choices for VO (I don’t know if they work properly though, I once selected french and nothing happened)
I was wondering if there are any plans on doing a spanish VO. I understand english well enough, but it would be awesome to hear the characters talking in my main language.

While I understand the feeling, I really think it is a bad idea. I really don’t believe GW2 could be able to make a quality spanish version, and considering all the effort and investment needed for the recording and acting, it’ll be a terrible waste.

My opinion is based mostly on the actual translation of the game to spanish, wich is hardly a good one IMO, and in localization choices like “Guiverno” or “Cataclista”, wich only appeals to a minor audience. Really, I actually decided to play the game in english rather than to read the spanish used by the localized version.

PS: TBH, I’ve found that most audiovisual creations (Games, movies, series, music, etc) are way better in their original language. Some exceptions can be some of the dub works made by Disney to “neutral” spanish. Aside form that, the rest is awful. (This also applies to the vast majority of works dubbed into english from another languages. Anime series are specially bad…)
